The sound of boots crunching leaves as a figure runs through the forest fills the air.
Y/N's POV
"It had been a few days since the world went to shit...I can't keep going on like this...I need to just let nature take its course...", Y/N thought.
A walker snarls as it reaches for Y/N.
Several Days Earlier...
Y/N yawns as he hears his alarm ringing indicating he had to get up for school.
He looked around his dorm and smiled seeing the framed painting on his desk.
It was of him and his half brother, Kai. Kai was only a few days old in the picture with the perky teen happily holding his new baby brother.
Kai was two now, but how much he adored his baby brother showed so much.
However, he didn't adore his step-mother as much...
His biological mother had died when he was six and his father started seeing his secretary for God knows how long after...
First came marriage, then the baby carriage and out came little baby Kai.

Kai's mother despised Y/N, to the point she insisted on Y/N living away from home when he went to college.
Of course Y/N had his fair share of fun with her... for instance he had tricked her into giving him money to move out since she kept bringing it up over and over again.
Y/N yawned as he checked his calendar.
He excitedly gasped as he seen he was going to get to return home and visit his family.
He hadn't seen them for a few months and he had been dying to meet Kai.
Y/N steps out wearing his preppy outfit and he holds a coffee cup, ready to start his day.
"Dude have you heard about that sick virus that's been going around?!", A classmate says.
"Oh uh no...what is it?", Y/N asks.
"Well I heard, it brings people back from the dead as these....monster things...", Another says.
"Please, like the laws of nature is gonna let that happen...", Y/N says as he sips his coffee and asks to toss it out.
However as he steps out, he discovers a student on the floor, unconscious.
He runs in quickly and shouts, "Professor! There's someone on the ground! I don't know if they're breathing!"
Soon the hallway is filled with students as a few faculty members are attempting to neutralize the situation.
Y/N hears them announce school is cancelled for the rest of the day, so he decides to pack his car and take the drive down to the suburbs of Atlanta.
As he drives down the streets, various helicopters fly in the sky, Y/N mutters to himself in confusion and takes a turn before reaching his dad's street.
However, once he pulled into the driveway he noticed something instantly off.
His dads car was there, and the lights looked to be on, but no one seemed to be in the house.
Y/N steps in with the spare key and hears nothing, then he hears crying.
It sounds like a baby's crying.
His eyes widen as he goes to the direction of Kai's room.
"Kai?!", Y/N asks as he goes to step forward.
He opens the door and sees his baby brother looking obviously tired from crying and hungry.
"Oh no...where is papa? Come on I'll make it all better...", Y/N says as he goes to pick him up.
However, a low growling can be heard.
He turns to see in the dark doorway, his father, missing chunks of his skin, and bloodied and green almost.
"Dad...are you okay...? We can get you help!", Y/N says.
Dad/Name reaches forward charging at Y/N, making Kai wail frightened.
Y/N gasps as his father isn't letting go, and he feels himself fall back.
SHURK!
Y/N gasps as the keys in his hand collide with his father's head.
He pushes his father's body off him and gasps as he runs to his little brother.
"Its okay...its okay...", Y/N whispers. "I'm here now..."
Now...
Y/N sighs as he holds the small boy in his arms.
He swiftly kicks the walker in the gut, sending it backwards before stomping on its head.
He moves forward as he attempts not to make any noise, when suddenly Kai starts crying uncontrollably.
Y/N looks around panicked as he tries giving him food but Kai doesn't want it.
He checks his diaper but there's nothing wrong...
He checks for a fever but he seems fine.
He feels tears start to pool in his eyes when suddenly a man steps out from behind a bush, he sports a sherif hat and has a group of people behind him.
"Please...", Y/N begs as he steps forward....
