Zuko sighs desperately as he sleeps in his and Y/N's shared bed alone.
He had been missing for a few days and he grew worried.
He had went in search of his uncle Iroh, only to come back alone and ashamed.
He had one job, unite the people and he feared he ruined it.
Meanwhile, Iroh had accompanied Y/N back to the island.
There had been talk of the great one coming to the earth kingdom, and he had a special package to give to his childhood friend Haru.
As soon as they reached the mountain estate, Haru instantly greeted them.
"Y/N! What a surprise! Its been a while...and you've brought...a fire bender with you...?", Haru asks eyeing Iroh.
"Listen...I need you to guard this with your life...don't let the upcoming king of the fire nation lay his hands on it...please Haru, he's forsaken the safety of our people, and my respect for him...", Y/N says.
"Y/N...I'll do it...", Haru says taking the parcel.
Time Skip...
Y/N found himself wandering the village, until he finally gathered the courage to admit to his father.
He entered the palace, and three young individuals stood before them.
"Y/N, my son...what brings you here?", The earth king asks.
"Father...who are they...? Never mind...its terrible, Zuko has forsaken our deal...he cheated on me with a woman of the fire nation court...", Y/N says.
"You mean, the future leader of the fire nation?!", a boy a little taller asked.
"Yes...We settled on an agreement between nations and he's broken that bond...", Y/N says.
"Nonetheless...not like the fire nation plans on attacking us anytime soon...", Y/N's father says.
The three look to each other and Y/N motions them to follow him.
As soon as the door closes he whips around at them with his fans to their throats.
"Who are you, and what do you know about the attackings...?", Y/N asks.
"Th-that General Fong is keeping secrets...", The same boy says.
"I'm Katara, thats Sokka and this is Aang...", the girl says.
"No...its even worse than I thought...I've tried to warn my father about this but he won't open his eyes...", Y/N says.
"Well, you were talking about your fire nation prince...maybe you should try to convince him not to attack?", Aang asks.
"Its impossible...it isn't him who I should be worried about...its his father...I must do something! I'll be back in a few days...please watch over things while I'm gone...", Y/N says rushing out.
Time Skip...
Y/N enters the lounge area where Zuko instantly rushes to him.
"Y/N! Please... lets talk about it...", Zuko says.
Y/N glares at him.
"You want to talk? Let's talk...I'm overseas away from my home that might be attacked by the nation, my cheating and backstabbing fiance belongs to, who also broke the alliance that could have been...what else could we talk about...", Y/N says slamming a book down.
Zuko was dumbfounded.
"You know I would never order an attack on your home...", Zuko says.
"I also knew you would never cheat on me...but look how that went...", Y/N says.
Zuko looked at him like a sad puppy and he sighs finally and says,
"Look you want to make it up? Feel here...", Y/N says pointing to his chest.
Zuko feels over it and strangely no heartbeat.
"Y/N...what happened?", He asks.
"I had Iroh take my heart out...after what you did, I couldn't stand to watch my people crumble...you want to make things okay...you have to retrieve it from Haru from the earth kingdom...", Y/N says.
Zuko gulps then looks to Y/N.
"I still love you...I accept...", Zuko says.
