Dead Man Walking(Part 4)- Daryl Dixon X Male Reader

Daryl had been distancing himself from the group, even from Y/N and Danny.
Y/N noticed his absence to the dinner table even when it was his turn to make dinner.
Of course Y/N would occasionally run into Daryl but it was never anything that lasted too long...
One day he was out looking for Sophia when he came back battered and beat.
Y/N was sitting with Glenn when he heard a shot go off.
Then he heard...
D:I was just kiddin'...
Then a loud thud.
He and Glenn rushed to the scene when they seen Andrea looking smug and Shane and Rick carrying Daryl over.
Y/N:what happened?!
R:Andrea shot Daryl...
AN:I thought he was a walker...
G:But he's wearing ears...
Y/N cleared the bed and got ready to examine his taller husband.
DY:is daddy gon' be okay?
A worried Danny said clinging onto Y/N's waist.
Y/N: daddy looks okay...it just grazed his head is all...
Y/N placed a damp rag to the wound and gently cleaned it.
Daryl soon woke up and Danny threw his arms around him.
DY:Daddy!
D:hey there baby...I'm okay...papa mad me feel all better...
Daryl smiled up at Y/N, but he was busy cleaning out the cloth he used to clean Daryl.
D:Y/N...when you gon' come over here and cuddle with me?
Daryl asked impatient.
Y/N smiled as he finished up and laid down sandwiching Danny in between.
Daryl pulled Y/N closer by his face and placed a loving kiss on his lips.
Y/N smiled into the kiss as he wrapped his arms around Danny and Daryl.
DY:I'm..squished...
Y/N smiled as he released his hold and Danny slid out.
He then left to go find Carl and Beth.
D: I'm sorry...for distancing myself from you...was Danny upset...?
Y/N:he was busy runnin' around with Carl...I think they'll end up just like us...
D:I wouldn't want the sheriff's son touching my boy the way i touch you...
Daryl growled into Y/N's ear.
Y/N smiled as he kissed down Daryl's neck and slowly got lower.

It had been a few days since Daryl and Y/N's...meeting...
And he was sitting down enjoying a nice chat with Maggie when all of a sudden Shane comes charging down shouting angrily.
SH:Well if you wanna survive...you gotta fight for it!
Y/N:Shane your scaring the kids!
SH:Well I'm boutta' show them what none of you pansies have the balls to do!
Rick and Hershel had rejoined the group with walkers as Shane ran to the barn and opened it.
Everyone had gathered around as Shane,Glenn, T-Dog,Andrea,and Daryl all shot down the walkers.
DY:Daddy!
Danny ran towards Daryl but Y/N scooped him up right behind his husband.
D: I'm right here baby! I'm protectin' ya...
Soon enough they were all on the ground and one came out...it was Sophia...
Carol was a mess as she ran towards her, however Daryl stopped her and held her as Rick shot her.
Carol was a wreck as the days went on.
Shane had been acting very suspicious ever since Otis had 'sacrificed' himself to save Shane...
Otis was a good man...and Y/N called bullshit on Shane's story.
They found a guy named Randall, who apparently belonged to some group that raped women and children and killed them in front of their people.
Y/N:so what your saying is...you want me to heal Randall's leg...just for you to kill him?
R:We need to because-
As Rick explained he caught a look in Shane's eye that seemed off...
Dale had disagreed with what they were doing and walked off for some fresh air when Y/N followed him.
He seen him get tackled.

Y/N sobbed as he ran after the older man and shoved the Walker off him.
Everyone followed and someone shot the Walker as Y/N examined his injuries.
Y/N:D-Dale...I can't...
Y/N said crying.
Dale wiped one of his tears.

The entire group cried as Rick got ready to shoot him.
D:Rick...let me do it...
Rick hands Daryl the gun as Y/N sobs with Amy and Andrea.

It had been a few weeks and they had noticed Shane being really shady... Carol had came onto Daryl, which Y/N immediately called her out on resulting in most of the group turning on Carol.
Little did they know was the big surprise they'd get alongside Lori being pregnant.
SH:I think I seen him run this way!
Shane said to Y/N and Rick who were on the search for a missing Randall.
Shane brought them to a clearing and turned around gun in hand.
R:Brother you don't wanna do this... I know you...you won't be able to live with this-
SH:you don't know what I live with! Rick I coulda' easily shot you in that hospital bed...but I didn't! And as for you...Mrs. Dixon...

SH:I highly doubt anybody would miss the two of you...hell I could say you was bitten by walkers and I had to kill ya...
Suddenly Shane was tackled by Rick ans Y/N stood there frozen not knowing what to do...

Rick finished shooting Shane when...
He seen Carl pointing his gun at him.

He turned to see a zombified Shane get shot down by Carl.
Suddenly they were surrounded by walkers.
Y/N:I'll get back to the others! Tell em to get the hell outta here!
R: I'll get the walkers distracted!
C:dad I wanna stay with you...
R:no you stay with Y/N!
Y/N:Rick...we both won't make it in time...
Rick bit his lip.
R:fine! Stay close!
Y/N hurried back to the house where he shouted at the remaining people.
Y/N:LORI!BETH!AMY!PATRICIA!CAROL!HERSHEL! LET'S GO!
He held onto Danny as he led Lori and Beth and Patricia towards a car.
He heard a scream and turned to see Patricia getting mauled and a scared Beth hanging on for dear life.
He pulled out his gun and started dropping walkers.
Lori led Beth and Danny into T-Dogs truck as Y/N put Patricia out of her misery.

Y/N turned to see T-Dog drive away with Beth and Lori in their seats and Danny sitting on Lori's lap.
Y/N realized he was by himself.
He didn't wanna waste ammo.
So he pulled out his curved knife that Carl had given him.
He ran for the gate where he heard a motorcycle and Daryl turn it.
D:Y/N! Thank goodness yer' okay...wheres Danny?
Y/N:he's with Beth and Lori...they got out... I'm just so glad to be with you...
He said holding his taller husband tighter as he drove away from the horde.
