A few weeks later on a Friday morning, the kingdom had begun to transform to winter. The air had become colder and extra clothes had been added to the uniforms to keep the students warm. Skeppy had gained a scarf he begun to wear daily while Bad now wore a pair of soft adjustable gloves. They both were given jackets and boots to prepare for the apparent snow coming their way. Though they remembered snow, they felt as if they had never seen it before, even in the time prior to their memory loss.
As they walked to the academy, their breath could be clearly seen. Skeppy shoved his hands in to his pockets in an attempt to keep them warm. It wasn't too cold yet, but it seemed like their bodies weren't even used to this temperature.
"I hate the cold." Skeppy whined in irritation, curling his shoulders in to himself to attempt to warm himself more.
"Same.." Bad replied with a grimace. "Why does no one else seem to be bothered by this cold??" He asked with confusion as he rubbed his hands together to try to make them warmer.
The two boys both had their jacket hoods up as they walked into the building that held their class. They sighed as their bodies thawed from the heat, slowing their walking as they made their way to class.
"The only good thing that is coming from this cold is my new appreciation for the school having a heating system." Bad said, taking off his gloves and putting them in his pocket.
"Yeah, that and my new love for hot cocoa." Skeppy said, his face turning to a smile thinking about the hot drink.
"Ooo, yeah! We should go back to that cafe and get some later!" Bad suggested excitedly, smiling as he turned to the other for an answer.
"Sure." Skeppy said, a smile appearing on his face as he faced the other as well.

Skeppy drank his hot cocoa, a pure smile accompanying his face as he sipped. Bad stared at the other boy with a soft smile on his face, along with admiration. It was nice when Skeppy was happy, looking at the other's smile made a comforting feeling dance through Bad's heart. He wasn't sure why, but him being happy made him happy.
"I'll never get tired of the taste of this" Skeppy said, the smile still on his face as he used a spoon to stir the liquid in his mug around.
"It is really good, isn't it?" Bad said with a bit of a chuckle, picking up his own hot cocoa and taking a snip before setting it back down. .
"Yeah! It's the perfect combination of sweet and bitter and salty!" Skeppy replied.
"Salty? I don't think that's the word for it" Bad spoke, correcting his friend.
"Shush vocabulary man, not everyone is as smart as you are." He said, giggling a bit.
Bad huffed, crossing his arms. "Well, maybe you should extend your vocabulary a bit! How do you suppose you'll explain things to other people who don't understand your limited knowledge?" Bad replied with a smirk.
"WOw! Limited knowledge?? Well i'll have you know i just choose to use small words. I know plenty of big words!" Skeppy said in a defensive manner, the joking-ness still in his voice.
"Yeah?? Like what?" Bad asked playfully.
"like- uh..." Skeppy started, thinking for a moment before a spark seemed to glow in his brain. "Photosynthesis!" Skeppy said proudly.
A familiar feeling of frustration was felt, for some odd reason it felt like this word was... familiar. "Okay fineee, you win. You know some big words." Bad said.
"Yes! Seeeee!?~ I'm not dumb." Skeppy said, sticking his tongue out at the other as he folded his arms and bend forward a bit.
Bad paused for a second, back tracking to what his friend has said. 'Dumb?' He thought. He frowned then spoke aloud. "I never said you were dumb, Skeppy. You shouldn't say that about yourself. You're really smart, just not with the same things as me. That doesn't make you any less smart." He said, looking at his friend with his comforting eyes.
Skeppy stared at the other and blinked, 'he noticed what i said..?' he thought.
Skeppy sighed, looking down and grabbing his other arm as he pulled it towards him in a way to curl in on himself. "I know... just. You're really smart, it's hard to compare to you." Skeppy said, chuckling a bit with awkwardness.
Bad looked at him for a second before grabbing his mug and standing up, walking over to Skeppy's side of the booth to sit next to him. Bad scooched close to his friend as the other looked at him in confusion. Bad took the other's hand and raised it in front of the two of them.
"Don't compare yourself to others, because you're wrong in your comparison to me. You're much smarter than me.You know how to fight, battle tactics, and you're even better at learning spells." Bad said with a smile as he looked directly into the other's glossy eyes. "You're the best to me, and you should be to yourself too, okay?" Bad finished.
Skeppy looked at the other, tearing up a bit as a large bright smile appeared on his face. Skeppy took his hand fro the other's and leaned forward, hugging him tightly as he rested his head between his friend's chin and shoulder. "You're a really great friend Bad, i couldn't ask for anyone better..." Skeppy said.
"Thank you, so much.."
