{Start of the 'Shatter' Arc}
Bad sat in the team tent, laying on his sleeping bag and staring up at the ceiling. He didn't know how to react. He couldn't feel anything at this point. It was almost like his brain had run out of feelings to feel.
Bad sat there for hours, no movement, no feeling, nothing. He didn't know what to do, he didn't know how to cope. He didn't even know if Skeppy was actually dead! So, he waited, he laid, and he did nothing.
A6d and Dream were sitting in the town center, leaning on each other's shoulders as they cried in worry for their friend. The healers had already tended to their wounds, so all they could do is sit, wait, and heal.
Around an hour ago, a search party of powerful mages was sent out to find and help Skeppy. They hadn't returned yet, so they were hoping for the best. But, hope doesn't always make things come true.
A group of the search team walked up to the two, a sad look on their faces. They spoke something, causing tears to pour from A6d and Dream's eyes.
Bad was continuing to stay still, that is, until Cecilia walked into his tent.
"Bad...?" Cecilia asked.
"Yes?" Bad replied, his voice emotionless and monotone as he sat up to turn to her.
"I... I have to tell you something." Cecilia started, shaking a bit with a frown.
"What is it?" He asked with the same tone.
"I... was with the search party and..." Cecilia starts, pausing for a few moments and gulping. "I don't know how to tell you this...but..."
"Skeppy's dead..." she finished.
The world seemed to freeze for Bad, his heart felt like he shattered into pieces. His stomach dropped, his soul seemed to become empty.
Tears streamed down his face as he raised his hand to cover it, sobbing into his palms. quiet mumbles could be heard through the sobs.
Cecilia frowned and ran to Bad, hugging him comfortingly, but it didn't feel the same.
Nothing could ever be the same as Skeppy.
