Chapter 39 ~ Cecilia Marrow

"My name is Cecilia Marrow, I am a human born with no essence of mana in my body. How do I have magic you ask? Well..."

[Flashback: 2536 Years ago]

"Why am i here...?" Cecilia asked the taller woman that was guiding her through the large halls of a building.

"Why you're being chosen, my dear." A woman... Ellowyn, replied.

"What am I being chosen for?" Cecilia asked.

"To be my assistant, dear." Ellowyn replied once again.

They made it to a large empty room, only a chair in the center taking it up. 

"Just sit in that chair and we'll be on our way," Ellowyn said with a soft smile. "It may hurt a bit, but I promise it'll be worth it." 

"O-Okay, Miss Ellowyn..." Cecilia said, walking over to the chair and sitting in it.

Ellowyn followed her over, hooking up various sizes of tubes to the girl. After finishing, Ellowyn put her hand over a small hole connected to the tubes. 

"Ready?" Ellowyn asked.

Cecilia gulped, closed her eyes then nodded. 

Ellowyn frowned, "I'm sorry about the pain, i really am.." she said before she began to cast some sort of spell. As she did so, her palm above the tube glowed and the essence began to be sucked in through said tubes and into Cecilia.

Loud screams were heard, but it was over in almost an instant.

[Flashback: 2000 Years ago]

"Cecilia?" Ellowyn asked.

"Yes, Miss?" Cecilia responded, walking up beside the other. 

"Would you like to meet the team of fate?" Ellowyn asked.

"I'd love to! Why are we going there??" Cecilia asked excitedly.

"I'm having a meeting with them about our next steps against the god and mage hunter attacks, I figured it's about time you came along," Ellowyn said with a smile, looking at the other.

"Well, I'm excited!" Cecilia responded, now skipping down the hall they were walking through.

Ellowyn laughed a bit at this, but continued to walk.

[Flashback: 1003 Years ago]

"Cecilia." Ellowyn spoke, her voice serious and mellow.

"Yes?" Cecilia responded with a frown.

"I need you to do something important for me..." Ellowyn spoke.

"W..What is it?" Cecilia asked nervously.

"I need you to follow along with the next lives of the team of fate and make sure they're fine. When they're ready, please bring them back to this world.

Cecilia stared at the other with shock, then a sad smile. "I will Ellowyn, whenever it's time."

"Thank you, dear." Ellowyn said, her face frowning more and more by the second.

"Keep them safe... Please..."

[Flashback: 1002 Years ago]

A bright white light fills the vision of all, the team of fate disappearing from the battlefield. Cecilia walked up to Ellowyn, a sad look in her eyes. 

"Is it time...?" She asked.

"Yes, I'm afraid," Ellowyn replied, wiping her tear-stained face. "Please be safe too." 

Cecilia's eyes widened, then softened into happy and teary. She smiled. "I will."

Ellowyn snapped her fingers, another flash of white showed as Cecilia disappeared.

Cecilia re-appeared in a dark void. Nothing could be seen besides four spread out monitors showing a different baby on each. Information showed below these monitors, labeled by the names of the children. 

"Skeppy, Badboyhalo, A6d, and... Dream..?" 

[Flashback: 5 Earth Years ago]

Cecilia stared at the screens, her eyes dull and lack of emotion. "I can't do this anymore... There has to be some way for me to do something other than this..." 

The silence was all you could hear in the void, the monitors emitted a small amount of noise, but it was dull compared to the true sound. Then, she got an idea. She smiled. 

She snapped her fingers, a scene of the boys falling into a world of magic, monsters, quests, and love appeared. 

[Flashback: 2 Earth Years ago]

"Thank you, for an amazing story." She said with a smile, the boys disappearing once more to the 'real' world.

[Flashback: 1 Earth Years ago]

"I wonder what it would be like if we never went to that world..." Bad on the monitor spoke.

Cecilia smirked, "I wonder."
