A few weeks later, it was almost the 1 year anniversary of Bad and Skeppy falling into this world, or - waking up to them. They were traveling to the next village, slowly on their way back to the kingdom they all originally met in. This village was new though as they were taking a different route.

"I wonder what this village will be like," Dream said curiously.

"Probably the same as all the others, they aren't exactly very different from each other," A6d responded with a bit of a shrug.

"That's not true! They all have their own stories about them. Along with all the civilians that have their own as well! All villages and places are different and unique in their own ways." Bad said matter-of-factly.

"Still don't see much of a difference between each of them," A6d said, not paying much attention to the other.

Bad huffed and pouted, this eventually disappearing as the new village came into view. This look now turning into an excited smile.

When they arrived at the town, it wasn't much different from the others. The only difference was the large statue of a woman in the center, a fountain surrounding it.

"Ooo! Ooo! Can we go look at that statue thing??" Bad asked with excitement as he hopped up and down.

"I don't see why not," Dream said with a smile, looking to a6d, waiting for his response.

A6d glared at the other for a second before sighing, "Sure, Bad."

"Skeppy?? What do you think??" Bad asked perkily as he turned to the other who seemed to be staring off into space. This only lasted for a few seconds though, as he ran into his taller friend in his lack-of-mind.

"Agh! Sorry Bad." Skeppy said, his cheeks tinging a very light pink as he walked back and held his head.

"It's fine Skeppy, but... Why were you spacing out? Now that I think about it you have been quite quiet on our journey." Bad asked with concern.

The other two stopped and turned to the shortest member of the group. concern laced in their eyes as well.

Skeppy looked at the others with a frown, sighing. "I was just thinking about something, that's all. Promise."

Bad looked at him for a second with a suspicious glare before giving up and turning back to his normal expression. "Okay. But, are you fine with us all going to check out the village's statue?"

"Sure, that seems fun," Skeppy replied, his face seeming to turn back to normal.

Bad smiled, grabbing Skeppy by the wrist as he dragged the other, running off and yelling to the others "Catch us if you can!"

A6d looked at him confused before smirking with determination. "Challenge accepted!" he yelled, chasing after the others, Dream following soon after.

Once they made it to the statue, Bad abruptly stopped. This making Skeppy slide a bit as he tried to stop as well, laughing at the situation. Bad turned to see an old woman silently reading a book by the fountain, behind her being what seemed to be a class of students, lead by a teacher who seemed to be speaking of something.

Her words could barely be heard but could be heard nonetheless. "This is the statue of Lucala, the goddess of darkness and one member of the team who controls the balance and fate of mortals." The teacher spoke, the information said after becoming non-hearable as the teens began to chatter.

"What are they talking about?" A6d asked, confused.

Just then, an old woman cloaked in a back hood walked up to the four. "Don't you boys know of the 'gods of fate'?"

The group turned to the woman, Skeppy answering. "We don't know much about anything, honestly."

"Would you like me to teach you a bit about it?" The woman asked, "I have nothing to do currently, so it'd be my pleasure."

"Well-" A6d started.

"YES!" Bad yelled in excitement, interrupting A6d.

The woman smiled with a chuckle, "Very well, then. Let me begin."

"The gods of fate were the main group of gods that ruled over this world. Though they had a leader as well. The group controlled the balance of us mortals through their specific jobs. Lucala controlled darkness, Leia controlled light, Rua controlled death, and Valena controlled life. Together they kept the world in harmony, as much as they were capable of. They also had a leader to keep the four together. This was Ellowyn, the god of creation and the oldest god out of them all."

"Things were well for many years, thousands, even. But, even with the title of 'god' they weren't immortal. They used magic to keep them alive for long periods of time, but they could still die. When the world discovered this, a group took advantage and sought out to murder the different groups of gods one by one. After a long while of fighting, the gods seemed to disappear without a trace, along with their families."

The woman said, finishing with a chuckle, "According to the books I've read, anyway."

The four stared, not knowing what to say.

"How do you know all of this?" A6d asked, breaking the silence.

"Why, I'm a scholar on this topic!" The woman said with a smile.

"That's amazing! Thank you for telling us." Bad said with a smile, he had a new interest in what books he'd be collecting.

"You're welcome, I'm glad you enjoyed it." The woman replied.

"I'm glad we're all happy, but we should probably get a room at the inn before there's no more rooms left." Dream said, pointing to the vast amount of people coming into the village.

"You're right." Skeppy said, turning to the rest. "Let's go?"

They nodded, walking off towards the inn.

"Thank you again!" Bad yelled back at the woman with a smile.

She waved to him with a smile once more, as if to say 'you're welcome' one more time

"See you around..." The woman spoke quietly with a smirk, her voice now sounding younger as she walked off.

Things seem to be changing once more. But this time...

Is it better, or for worse?
