The two boys were seen walking down the forest enveloped path with a pair of cups of hot cocoa in their hands. They had stopped at a small cafe in a local village before fully heading out on their long quest. They used some money that the headmaster had given them in a bag containing supplies for their journey. So, their journey was off to a good start.

They walked through the cold woods, chatting a bit as they did so. They had already begun to grow tired but they needed to make sure to get to the next village before nightfall. They had already stopped for around an hour to get their drinks and look around, so they were relatively behind on the schedule Bad had made so they would make it on time. The next village was rather far away, so Bad thought it would be a good idea to make a plan to get there on time.

It was around 7 pm when they arrived at the village, instantly going to find an inn before anything else. After they did so, they booked themselves a room and put their stuff away before going out to explore the village. Though it was small, they'd found that every village seemed to have their own interesting story.

The village had numerous farms around the area, buildings containing houses and shops, and large a fountain in the village center. There wasn't much, to say the least. Not even a wall to keep the night creatures out

"Well, this place is... quaint." Skeppy spoke, looking around as he walked side by side with his friend.

"Well, it isn't apart of one of the main kingdoms so it makes sense that the village isn't in the most impressive. It's not even bordering a kingdom so it's pretty impressive that they're doing so well as it is, in my opinion" Bad said, looking around with slight interest. "Plus, the places with the most struggle usually have the best stories!" He said, turning to the other with a smile.

Skeppy chuckled a bit, looking at the other as well. "How would you even know that?" He asked with a smirk.

"Memory leak!" Bad said proudly, pointing his finger into the air in a 'matter-of-a-fact' way.

Skeppy chuckled at the other as they continued on, the night now fully enveloped the sky and it was getting late. So, they decided to head back to the inn and go to sleep for the night. Though.. one of the two seemed to have a bit of trouble.

Skeppy and Bad laid in their separate beds, Skeppy drifted off into a deep sleep while Bad was staring out into space.

'I don't get it...' He thought, staring off at the ceiling as he covered his forehead with his arm.

'Why is this happening to me..? I can't sleep, my mind keeps racing, I get all shaky and worried... I don't get it!' Bad thought, mentally scolding himself at the way he felt as he threw his hands down in frustration. His right hand smacking onto his bedside table and making a loud sound on impact.

Skeppy blinked his eyes open, groaning as he turned to the other to see Bad gripping his hand with a frown. Skeppy stared with confusion before speaking. "Bad..?"

Bad jumped and turned to the other quickly, guilt filling his body. "Sorry for waking you up..." He apologized with a deeper frown.

"It's fine.. Why are you awake?" Skeppy asked with curiosity and worry.

"I'm okay, it's just some... thoughts." Bad said, looking away at the word.

Skeppy frowned and sat himself up, rubbing his eyes. "Want to talk about it?" he asked.

Bad hesitated for a second, sighing in defeat before replying. "Y-yeah..."

"Okay," Skeppy started, lifting his blanket to cover his body as he sat up. "I'm here to listen" He said with a smile.

Bad took a deep breath. "Well, uh... I've just been feeling kind of.. scared... lately? My mind won't stop racing, I've been having issues sleeping.. It's just been confusing, really." He said, avoiding eye contact.

Skeppy frowned before getting up and walking over to his friend, hugging him. "I'll try to help in any way i can. I might not be that strong, but I'll be here if you ever need to talk." Skeppy said, a soft, calmness coming from his voice. It soothed Bad's worry and fast heartbeat, calming him down.

"Thank you Skeppy.." Bad said, his frown turning into an appreciative smile as he hugged the other back.

Just then, both of their eyes seemed to glow their respective color. A familiar feeling of warmth and comfort flowing through them as a moment flashed before their eyes.

A scene at what seemed to be a kingdom's docks. Bad and Skeppy were seen waiting by a few stacked boxes full of various items as the shorter boy turned to the other, talking and giving a bright smile that calmed the taller one.

As the flashback ceased, the two blinked away the vision in confusion. An awkward silence filling the room as they stared at each other with no knowledge of what they could say.

Skeppy took a deep breath and after a few moments, broke the silence. "We should go to bed.." He said with a slightly worried voice.

"Y-yeah.." Bad responded with a studder, shock still seething through him.

Skeppy walked back to his bed, laying down and tucking himself in. This time, he slept facing his friend in case of him being needed by the taller one. "Wake me up if you need anything," Skeppy said, reminding the other that he was open if he ever needed someone to talk to.

Bad smiled and nodded. "I.. I will." He said,

"Okay.. goodnight." Skeppy said, adjusting himself once more before closing his eyes and beginning to drift off to sleep.

"Night.." Bad said, heading off to dreamland as well when he dug his head into his pillow for extra comfort.

That night was one of the best sleeps Bad had experienced in a while, and it was all due to Skeppy's comfort.
