Around a week later, the festival had begun. It was around mid-day when the events would start and heating was placed all around the area. Lanterns were hung from pole to pole, stands were set up around the pathway with a few rides and a large Ferris Wheel towards the back. As the two walked in to the area, the sent of many different taste-ful foods filled the air as it danced through the attendant's noses.
Bad spotted a booth that was serving bakery items, showing off their signature muffins. As he caught sight of this, he dragged Skeppy to the booth and made sure to buy himself a muffin (Gluten free of course). Skeppy decided not to waste the moment and bought himself a muffin as well. Bad has bought a blueberry muffin while Skeppy bought one with chocolate chips in-bedded in the top. Bad smiled giddily as he bit into his muffin. They continued to walk to other booths, finding some fun games to play.
They eventually found a toss game where you throw a dart at a balloon that was hung on the wall. Skeppy quickly discovered he was good at this game and ended up winning a small stuffed animal of a fluffy white dog. Bad tried his best but he seemed to have a bit of trouble with his eyesight, this making it so he couldn't aim very well. Bad frowned at this and eventually walked away in shame, sitting at a nearby bench. Skeppy followed the other and sat next to him, but the taller boy seemed to not be paying attention.
"Hey.. Bad?" Skeppy spoke, trying to get the other's attention.
Bad turned to the other, looking at him questioningly. "hm?"
Skeppy lifted up the stuffed animal he won before, pushing it towards the other. "Here, this is for you." He said with a comforting smile.
Bad stared at the other in shock, this turning into a smile with a small tear in his eye. He jumped forward and hugged the smaller boy.
"Thank you Skeppy." Bad said, his tone soft and calm.
Eventually, after a few seconds of hugging, Bad backed away and took the stuffed dog. He opened up his bag and set the puppy inside of it gently and carefully, looking back at the smaller boy as he re-zipped his bag.
"I'll keep good care of her." Bad spoke, his tone cheering up by the second.
"I'm sure you will, I trust you!" Skeppy smiled back, "Now.. cmon. Let's go play some more games!" Skeppy said, standing up and putting his hand out to help the other up.
Bad nodded and accepted the hand, being pulled to his feet as the two walked off to play more games. And the two sure did, they played many games ranging from tossing games to strength tests, they seemed to play them all. Bad found that we was good at the strength related games while Skeppy was better at projectile games.
After their session of playing games, they decided to go get some food. They made their way back to the food court, looking around as they decided what to get. They saw a booth with a sign that said 'Cotton Candy'. This seemed to interest Skeppy as he pointed it out, Bad agreeing to go buy some. Though they didn't remember what it was fully, they couldn't help but gain excitement as they waited in the line.
Eventually, they made it to the front of the line and got their spheres of sugary fluff. They decided to take a bite out of each of their at the same time, this resulting in stars practically forming in their eyes. Their new found love for this sugary substance would never be forgotten, that's for sure.
After finishing their Cotton Candy, they decided to find more filling foods. They tired many of the available foods from cinnamon rolls to burgers. As they finished testing the local foods and falling in or out of love with what they found, the sun began to set.
Even so,
There was a long day ahead.
