Bad sat in his tent, moping to himself at his lack of allowance to walk. He wanted to be able to train more, help with the work around here. Not just sit here. After a few moments, Skeppy walked into the tent.
"I see you're doing better," Skeppy said with a smile.
"I guess. How are you doing..?" Bad asked, concern in his eyes as he remembered Skeppy's injury.
"I'm fine. It was a lot less serious compared to yours so the most pain I feel right now is a slight sting when I walk too much." Skeppy spoke as he walked. "Do you need anything?"
"Uh well..." Bad started, pausing for a second. "Could you get me my bag? I want something from it."
"Sure!" Skeppy said with a smile, grabbing the other's bag and walking over to him. "Mind if I sit next to you?"
"Go for it, I don't mind," Bad said, still saddened from not being able to walk, even if it was just for a week.
Skeppy did as he was allowed, sitting next to the other on the taller boy's sleeping bag as he handed Bad his backpack.
"Thank you," Bad said, taking the bag and opening it.
"No problem," Skeppy replied with a smile.
After a few seconds of rummaging through his bag, Bad pulled out a certain object. One familiar to Skeppy. A small stuffed white dog.
"You still have that???" Skeppy asked in shock.
"Of course I do," Bad said with a weak smile, looking down at the pupper. "I did promise I'd take care of it, didn't I?"
Skeppy looked at the other with a smile, hugging him gently. "Thank you for always being here. From the beginning to now you've done nothing but be caring and kind. You're really an amazing friend, I hope you know that."
Bad stared at the shorter boy with confusion. "What's with the sappiness all of the sudden?" Bad asked with an awkward laugh.
"It's just-" Skeppy started, leaning back out of the hug. "That dog kinda represents the happier times for me now. I gave it to you right before we left the academy... it seems like so much has gone wrong after that..."
Bad frowned, smiling slightly. "It hasn't all been bad. We've gotten closer, we've made new friends, we even learned all about our past that we never knew about!" he spoke. "I'd say it's all worth it."
Skeppy looked at the other, smiling with adoration lacing his eyes, "Yeah... I guess you're right."
'I fell in love with you, after all...'
