The two ran over a spot that a few others had begun to crowd to. A large campfire surrounded by a few logs for people to sit on. The community crowded around and all sat together, Skeppy and Bad being no different. Skeppy looked across the crowd to see who was there as he sat down and spotted a familiar face. A short girl with blue-grey eyes was holding hands and chatting with a taller green eyed figure. The shorter one looked over to Skeppy and smiled, giving a thumbs up to the boy as she noticed Skeppy was with the suspected friend he was so distraught about before. Skeppy returned the smile as the two went to focus their attention on their specific partners.
The night went on happily as the two boys met more people. One of these being a short boy a little smaller than Skeppy who's long scarf seemed to perpetually flow through the wind.
The brown-eyed boy walked over to the two with a smile and a wave. "Hey! You two look awkward, wanna chat?" He asked as he approached the two.
"Uh..-" Skeppy started, being interrupted by Bad.
"Sure!" Bad said excitedly with a smile.
Axis nodded and sat beside bad on the log as they began to chat. "So, did you two come by yourselves?" He asked, bending over a bit and looking their way so he could focus on them both.
"Yeah," Skeppy said with some awkward laughter, "We're kind of.. new, around here."
"Ohh makes sense, well. Welcome to the academy! My name is Kai by the way." 'Kai' replied.
"I'm Skeppy" The blue boy responded.
"Call me Bad!" He said with a bright smile, "Did you come alone?" he asked.
"Nahh, I came with my two friends, Vis and Slythe" Kai replied, his head perking up as he turned around. "Speak of the devil."
"Kai! Stop running off!" A girl of about average height spoke, Her long-ish brown hair flowing through the slight breeze as she stomped over to the three. "OH! Hello!" She said, waving at the other two.
"Sorry, I'm just trying to be social" Kai replied with a playful smirk, turning back to the two boys. "Bad, Skeppy, This is Vis. Vis, This is Bad and Skeppy." he spoke, gesturing to the person as he said their name.
"Nice to meet you two, Sorry if my friend here was being annoying." 'Vis' said, laughing a bit as Kai made an offended gasp.
"He was fine, don't worry." Bad said with a laugh, "He said you were here with another friend too, where are they?" He asked.
"Ah, Slythe. She's off getting us some food before the musicians come." She said.
"Musicians?" Skeppy asked out of curiosity.
"Yeah, guess you really are new. Basically, every year some musicians come to play before the closing of the festival for this year. They should be here soon." Kai responded.
"Oooo! Sounds fun!" Bad said with excitement.
"It is!" Vis Said with a smile.
"Vis!" Another girl called from behind as she approached.
Vis gasped as she turned around and hugged the figure, the darkness making her appearance difficult to see. "Slythe!" Vis spoke with a smile.
Skeppy smiled softly at the two with a small laugh.
A few people approached a stage as the two's hug was stopped by Kai pulling them apart. "Come on! We gotta go get a seat!" He yelled, running off. "Nice meeting you two!"
Vis followed with an exciting gasp, Slythe not too far behind. In the distance, the silhouette of the grey-blue eyed girl and her lover approaching the three with a friendly greeting could be seen in the distance as the music began to start.
An upbeat song began to play as a violin picked up speed, the other instruments following. People began to stand and dance around the fire with their friends and others they knew.
"Wow, I guess they weren't kidding when they said it would be fun," Skeppy said with a laugh, watching the crowd.
"Well, cmonnn! We can't just sit and watch other people have fun. Let's dance!" Bad yelled happily as he stood up and pulled his friend to his feet with them.
The two laughed, smiled, and danced the night away as snow began to fall from the sky.
Skeppy and Bad stared up at the air as the small puffs of white fell upon their bodies and surroundings. The two smiled, looking back at each other and going back to dancing. They both knew one thing...
Even if they don't have their memories, they're glad they're here.
