ALEX'S POV.I walked through the gate and I saw my Dad's car. Immediately I knew he was home for a reason, He must have been informed about the viral news about mum. I walked into the living and I saw him.
"Welcome, Dad." I bowed.
"Why did you do this? Alex." He asked emotionlessly.
I wasn't expecting him home this early, at least not today.
"Do what?""It's all over the neighborhood Alex. They all know about your mum." He looked disappointed.
"They'll eventually know about it anyway, there's no point in keeping an open secret." I tried to defend myself.
He grabbed my shirt from my neck and the next I could remember was my back on the floor, my face hurt. He walked towards me and surprised me by bouncing his fist on me, his fist connected with my jaw.
I managed to rise up and block some of his attacks, He has never been this violent on me. He pinned me down and slapped me. He then stopped, I guess he was satisfied or tired. I looked up at him and our eyes met; no doubt I realized I don't have a father. I could hear the maids murmuring but they were too scared to openly stop him.
"Now listen, son." He snarled and continued.
"Go in there, pack your bags. We're leaving right away." He walked away. For a moment, I wish I never had parents. They've been nothing but horror in my life.
I walked slowly to my room, locked the doors.
I took off my clothes, I groaned as I felt the pains, I walked into the shower, letting the water flow through my skin. I knew better than to cry but when the thoughts of how miserable my life was, I couldn't help but let the tears flow with the showers.I knew this was bound to happen. But I'm quite confused why the discretion of my mum in jail is very important to him.
If she's in jail, she's in jail. There's no way we can hide that.I could hear my father banging on my door.
"Aren't you done yet? Alex! Alex!! Alex!!!" He growled in anger and continued."If I leave here, I would never come back for you, and for your information, the house is on sale. In a few months' time, there'll be a buyer. So you had better made up your mind son. He yelled louder so I could hear him.
I grabbed my towel, walked into my room. Pretending like nothing was going on and I couldn't hear anyone, I opened my bags to get my assignments done.
I moved towards the drawer to get my phone, I switched it on and messages flooded my page. The group WhatsApp chats. I calmly read it from the beginning.
There was indeed an unknown number, I could see the message sent by the person, stating:"нey gυyѕ, we've all вeιng ғooled. Tнe reason вeнιnd aleх мυм'ѕ aвѕence dυrιng мoѕt мeeтιngѕ ιѕ вecaυѕe ѕнe ιѕ cнarged to jaιl ғor attempted мυrder "
."yoυr wordings are ιncorrect,😂😂 ѕtop typιng lιĸe мarιa 😂😂" A student responded.
