Chapter 16

(Firestorms POV)
"I..umm...."
I said trying to think if it was the right time.
"Yeah? What is it?"
Moonlight said as she got closer to me. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes.
"I love you!"
I finally was able to say. She was quiet and I slowly opened my eyes. She was blushing, almost as red as me, with the cutest smile I've ever seen.
"I love you too"
She said back as I went wide eyed and smiled. We rubbed our heads against each other. I felt my head start to burn but my heart was pumping out of my chest so I ignored it.
"You better get going before it gets worse"
She said with sadness in her voice. I licked her cheek as she giggled.
"I'll be back I promise"
"You better, or I'll hunt you down heh"
I chuckled as we rubbed our heads together again. We said our 'goodbyes' and I took off towards the exit. I saw the dragons looking at me and started to follow me.
"What do y'all want"
I said growling.
"Where are you going?"
A Rumblehorn had roared. I knew if I was gonna escape I would have to lose these dragons.
"None of you're business now leave me alone!"
I roared to try and get them away. They flew closer surrounding me. I knew something was up, but I wasn't gonna try to fight my way out. I dived towards the ground and towards the exit with the others behind me. I was flying between pillars and cut one with my wings blocking the other dragons' path. I made it to the exit and started flying upwards towards the light. I could hear the ocean and I finally saw daylight. I sat there for a bit, thinking of which way was the edge. I began to sniff the air, I caught a few scents but none of them were familiar. Finally, I caught a scent of a familiar Changewing and flew as fast as I could towards it. I was flying for what felt like a few minutes, 'I have to be close' I thought to myself.
"Fire!"
I heard something yell when I was caught in a net. I roared as I crashed onto a ship. I felt humans grabbing and tying me up. I tried to bite one of them but I missed. One of them put their foot on my head holding my head to the floor.
"A Fury? Ha, put it in the cage."
I heard them say as I was being dragged down stairs and into a cell. They untied me and I tried to get out but they closed the door on me. The humans laughed and walked away. I looked around to see how to get out. I began to smell a familiar scent. I looked into the hallway to see two white eyes.
"Who's there!?"
"Calm down, brother"
That voice...no it can't be.?
"Cryptid?"
"Yes it's me, just be calm and I'll promise they won't hurt you...much"
I heard him say as he chuckled evilly.
"You bastard! I'll kill you!!"
I roared trying to rip the door off.
"Hahaha, good luck brother. See you around"
He said as he walked up the stairs. 'Working with trappers..this isn't going to be good' I thought as I tried to look out a little crack in the side of the boat. My head burned again as I scratched it. I roared loudly causing some trappers to come down to my cell. They were hitting their swords against the metal bars making a loud ringing noise. It hurt to hear it as I roared even louder. I began to ram the wall making the boat shake. They fell over as the door opened. I roared loudly as I pounced on one of the trappers.

(It's about to get graphic so if you don't wanna read it, then skip ahead. You've been warned)

I bit their head hearing their scream get cut off, as the other I swung my tail at them cutting their leg making blood go everywhere. I crept slowly towards the trapper.
"No please!! Help!!!"
He said as I bit his leg and threw him into the wall and his neck broke as his body fell limp on the floor. I rammed out the doors covering the stairs as the trappers all fell over from the debris. One of them charged me with a sword and I shot a plasma blast at him, making his arm turn to ash and blood going onto the floor. I shot the mast with a Gronckle blast making it fall over. The boat began to burn from the blast. I shot some trappers with spikes from my tail. I caught myself on fire and began to ram into trappers making them catch flames and spread it throughout the ship. I flew off the ship and shot it with my plasma blast making it sink. I began to fly away as the screams of the trappers went silent.

I landed on an island and took a deep breath, calming down finally. The burning went away as I looked around. I felt blood on my scales and on my teeth. Steam coming off my body from the flames going out. I limped around looking for water until I found a little pond. I started drinking as I heard growling. I turned around to see a Monstrous Nightmare.
"Thank you! Those humans have been hunting us on this island"
They said as a bunch of other dragons walked out towards me. They all bowed their heads and started to fly around celebrating.
"Have you seen some dragons being ridden by humans?"
I asked as the Monstrous Nightmare nodded.
"Fly south and you'll find a island of peaceful humans that saved us"
They saved these dragons? Must have been while I was gone. I nodded at them as I took off and began flying south. I realized I was still bloody but I had no time, I don't wanna lose control...not again. Especially not around the others. I finally saw the Edge and smiled. 'Almost home' I thought to myself as I landed at the stables. No one was around though, where were they? I decided to look for Mage first and flew to her cave. I landed at the entrance and growled.
"Mage?"
I heard someone walking towards me.
"Firestorm..?"
"Yes, it's me"
She ran out and rubbed heads with me. I lowered my head so she could see the irritating skin.
"Please help, it's burning right now"
I purred as I felt her acid touch my head. I roared in pain as I slammed my head into the ground.
"Oh god are you ok!"
I rubbed my head in the dirt as I realized the pain went away.
"Y-yeah it's gone now, thank you Mage"
I said as I smiled. She smiled but turned into a frown as she stepped back a little.
"Why do you smell like human...!?"
Oh crap..right.
"Well...umm I was-"
"Firestorm?!!"
I heard a familiar Night Fury roar as I looked to see the gang landing next to us. They all ran towards me but stopped instantly.
"F-..Firestorm..?"
"Hey calm down it's ok"
I said as I tried to wipe my face with my wings.
"What did you do?"
"I was captured by trappers and...I did what I had to do"
They seemed a little frightened but they walked closer.
"I'm ok, Mage helped cure my scales on my head"
I said as the riders and dragons looked at her. They all said 'thank you' to her and she nodded. She walked back into her cave afterwards.
"Let's go home please"
I purred as we all took off back towards our huts. We landed and Hiccup grabbed a pail of water and poured it on me. I shook it off and getting the blood off me as well.
"Thanks"
"No problem"
Hiccup said as we all hugged. I wrapped my wings around everyone. My family was back in my life..thank god.
