"I missed you." He told her. She turned around in his arms. She played with his hair and the jewelry in it. He hugged her closer to him. He scented her. Thomas's scent was no more. She rested her thigh over his hip and he touched her bottom, massaging her and squeezing. "I missed you more." She whispered. "Baby?....... is that a term of endearment?" He asked. "Yes, it slipped out." She told him. "I understand." He spoke softly and chittered. She touched his mandibles. "Is that a word you will use often?" He asked her. "Yes, I think of you and that word always comes to mind." She told him. "I understand." He clicked. He trilled holding her to him. Constantly rubbing and kneading her like a cat.

"Why are these in your hair?" Lex asked touching the jewelry in his hair. "They are sensory receptors. I chose these pieces. They are there also to attract females. The longer our tendrils, the more attention females will grant to males after a successful Chiva." He explained. "So....you have them to attract a mate?" She asked. "No. Not for me. I chose these pieces long before my Chiva, after the ceremonial braiding." He told her. "What?" Lex asked dumbfounded. "Ceremonial braiding. It is another rite of passage to adulthood. A ritual. It is the ceremonial braiding of a young unblooded Yautja male into the tendrils you see here. The process, it usually takes months of ritual braiding and intense scalp pain. It is performed in public. At the slightest show of pain or discomfort on the part of the unblooded male, the entire process is started over again." He told her. Lex looked shocked.

"Wow.........ok. That is some kind of ritual. It sounds truly agonizing. I can't imagine. It reminds me of female mutilation among certain African tribes." She thought out loud. "Tendrils...." She repeated, holding one between her fingers. "How.......why had you not had sex? I'm confused. You told me you'd never done anything before. I find that hard to believe. You seem to know exactly what you're doing. I mean..... I've only ever slept with one other man. He was not a virgin. He claimed to have had sex with a handful of girls.......he was nowhere as enjoyable as you are. You're very intense.... You're not shy at all. Well maybe on the couch the first time we sat down but that quickly changed."

"Unblooded males who have not participated in a successful Chiva with trophies to show off and display are not given a second thought or any attention from Yautja females. Yautja females are attracted to warriors, males who have hunted successfully." He explained. Lex looked and felt exasperated. "Have you..............attracted a lot of females?" She asked begrudgingly. "Yes. I am not interested. The only thoughts and interests I have are of you, hunting, missions and collecting trophies." He stated.

Lex looked unconvinced. She lowered her head. "I would imagine you have attracted many Yautja females. Your Chiva was successful. You've gone on to collect another queen. Not to mention your ship. I'm certain the story of you cutting the infant kainde amedha from yourself has surely impressed many." Melancholy laced her voice. "Lex..." "Yes...." "I am not interested. I can assure you. I could not bring myself to partake in any mating with the Yautja females. Many tried to seduce...me. Yautja females have a particular musk, it helps in attracting a mate. Their scents....did not sway me. Your scent is a part of me. I thought only of you. I wanted to get back to you. I did not care what any Yautja had to say. I blamed my lack of interest on bloodlust. I only spoke of hunting."

"Right......This situation is impossible.....I don't understand how we are supposed to be together. If we even should." She spoke softly. "Lex...I will have no other. You will sire my offspring." He clicked. He spoke with confidence. She took a deep breath. She wouldn't look at him. "Please...." He begged, pulling her closer to him. "I don't understand how I fit into your world. My world is simple. I live in the cabin, far away from civilization, you, you live in........the galaxy, on a planet light years away. Traveling from planet to planet. Hunting and killing things for sport." She pointed out.

She sighed. "Do your kind marry? Do Yautja actually marry?" She asked. "Some do. Some do not, many have multiple mates and monogamy is not of importance. Some sire hundreds of offspring. Others do not. Others choose a life mate. It depends on the Yautja male and the clan. Many have something to prove. I have already done that. However, I still want respect and respect for you and I want to hunt." He told her. He clicked and trilled.

She didn't speak for a while. He held her closely and rubbed her lower back. "Lex, what we are is untraditional. Not unheard of but it is not common. It does not bother me. Affection such as mine is not common. Most Yautja males only care about hunting and trophies. Many would view my affection as weak but that does not bother me. My reputation is starting to proceed me. I am working hard and training to be the best and most efficient. Many male Yautja do not travel with their mates. Unless a settlement is established. How others view us will not bother me as long as there is respect and honour. I want you with me. The Yautja will observe your fierce nature, your mark and your honour and they will respect you. You already have your own reputation amongst our clan. The Elders themselves observed your bravery. There are many that already respect you. All of the females of our clan and others know that I marked you. Which could also be viewed as a claim." He told her. "Really?" She asked gleefully. "Yes"

Lex relaxed slightly. "Lex, why did you not tell me you were coming here?" He asked. "I didn't have time. All of our time is so limited. I was going to mention it but the chance didn't present itself. Why didn't you tell me you were leaving me to fly to Mexico for this mission and Chiva?" She asked. "I left you, entered space, headed to the mothership, back to Earth, then headed to Mexico." He explained. He trilled lowly. She stared at him.

"You never tell me where you're going. Granted, I have absolutely no idea where these planets are but you don't tell me anything. The distance, time, how long I'll be waiting. URRRRRRGGGGHHHHHHHH"........She moved from him and let out the biggest breath. "I hate it!" She spit.
