She was perplexed. "Scar......there is honestly no other way." "There is, I carry you on my back to the top of this building and we take my escape pod to my ship. Simple..." Lex just sat.......looking at him... "Scar, please. I can not just leave. I have to do things in a certain order. I do not want to draw any attention or suspicions. You understand that right? Besides, this is downtown Chicago. There aren't many open fields to land your ship." Scar looked at her. He did understand. He was doing just that, had been doing that for over a year. He'd been doing things a certain way to garner favour, honour and respect. "Very well. How much time will it take to complete these tasks?" He asked. "Um....maybe a couple of hours." Lex answered. Scar let out a deep breath, clicking...He was none too pleased.

She stood up and went to him. He was pouting. She sat on his lap and he held her tightly. "Come on.....it will be quick." He stared off, sulking. "Baby.....we will be together very soon." He looked at her and nodded. "What are the coordinates to your home?" Lex sat in stupefaction. "I'm not sure. I'll have to Google it." Scar brought up his sat-com. The projection of the area amazed her. She stared at the hologram. "It's....... 41.522550 latitude and 87.922410l longitude." Scar entered it into his gauntlet and a 3d render of her home and surrounding area appeared. He saw the perfect place to land his ship. Lex gazed at the hologram and impressed, was an understatement.

"Wow.... That's incredible." She exclaimed. "Would you like me to take your bags?" "Ummm......sure, that would be nice." She kissed his mandibles. He rubbed her stomach, trilling low. She finally stood. Checked the suite for all of her belongings and grabbed her satchel. "Will you please take these?" She asked. "Yes...." He grabbed her bags and readied himself. He pulled her to him and looked down at her. She reached up and touched his tendrils. She pulled one and he hissed. She brought his face down and kissed him. "Please be careful." She told him. He nodded. He pressed a button on his gauntlet and he cloaked, he disappeared before her eyes. She moved to the door and before she could exit, Scar squeezed her bottom. She smiled.

He scaled the building skillfully. Maneuvering the balconies easily. His escape pod was still there, he boarded it and immediately ascended to his ship. He reached the thermosphere and docked the pod. He exited the pod and headed for his central command centre. Once there he entered the coordinates to Lex's home and remained in stasis until Lex exited the hotel.

Lex sat in the taxi as her mind raced with thoughts. She couldn't believe the last 15 hours. She'd thought he was never returning. She thought he was possibly dead.....he always returns to her. She was in constant disbelief. She questioned herself and her decisions. Was this the best decision for her? He was an alien for goodness sake. They could never have a normal life! Children......what the....hell!? Could they actually have children? Could she conceive? What would those children look like? Would Scar protect her? Oh my goodness.....she kept asking questions and she was afraid of some of the answers.

In the span of her thoughts running rampant, she arrived at her home without a glance out of the window. She paid and tipped the driver then entered her home. She didn't see Scar. She ran to her back door. She couldn't see his ship. She looked out trying to catch a glimpse of his cloak shimmering or the hum of his landing. She didn't feel anything. She stood trying to isolate the sounds around her. It was quiet. Her shoulders slumped. Maybe he wasn't here yet. In the next instant she felt herself being lifted off the ground and held tightly. She screamed....she saw her door close and Scar uncloaking, revealing himself.

"Arrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhh......don't do that!" She shouted. He trilled, laughing. She looked at him. She put her hands over his visor. He growled at her, setting her down. "This is your new home?" He asked glancing around. She shook her head no. "I am not staying here. I moved here to cope." She said dropping her eyes. She moved away from him. He grabbed her hand. "No....I am here. Please do not be upset." He said. She nodded. "Would you like to sit?" He asked looking around at the empty home. "I don't want to be here. I want to leave." She said sadly. He stepped towards her and pulled her to him. "Lex......" "No, I just want to go. Back to the cabin." He looked at her. There was hurt in her eyes. "Very well." He clicked. "I need to grab my stuff." She told him. She walked to the living room and grabbed her things. Throwing them in her carry-on. He watched her.
