I woke up to blurry eyes which meant I had forgotten to take my contacts out. I crawled out of bed to see Calum lying there motionless. I went into the bathroom, tossed my contact, and put on my thick lenses that I rarely ever used. Not being too happy about my glasses I went into the kitchen and order new ones. I jolted in my seat when I heard the bedroom door open up.
"Sorry I didn't mean to scare you." He said trying to hold back his laugh.
"No, its fine." I said turning away. "I'm uh, I'm gonna go to the beach for a little while." I said grabbing my book and racing out of the apartment. I laid on my back and closed my eyes listening to my music and eventually falling asleep. Trying to forget all of my troubles was easy. Facing them was going to be the hard part.

About four hours later I stood up to feel a stinging pain in my back. Yep, I had forgotten to apply sunscreen and I was burnt. I walked back into the apartment hopping into a cold shower. It was around 6:00 by the time I showered and soaked in some ice cold bath water but nothing seemed to be working. I threw on a loose tank top and running shorts trying to avoid any sort of pressure on my sensitive back. My efforts of trying to apply aloe to my back were pathetic. "Do you uh, need some help?" Calum asked referring to my struggle to apply the aloe.
"Uh... yeah." I said hesitantly. I laid down on the bed so my shirt would stay up while he was applying the soothing serum on my back. Calum's touch felt brought back memories to when I would have bad period pains in my back Keaton would rub my back and they would disappear. I missed Keaton, but I also knew it wasn't worth missing someone who didn't miss me. "I uh, just wanted to thank you for sticking up for me at Killers the other night."
"No problem." He mumbled. There was a moment of silence before Calum said, "Alana, I miss you."
"What are you talking about Calum?" I asked half-asleep.
"I miss you and me being friends. Like how we used to tell each other everything."
"Calum..."
"Come on. You can't even deny we always used to have so much fun together. Between playing soccer and jamming out together."
"Calum, I just don't think I can ever trust you again." His gaze shot to the ground and he was quiet and all of the horrible memories were soon coming back to me.
FLASHBACK
"Ugh, I'm so tired." Calum said falling down onto my bed.
"I know, me too." Calum and I sat there laying down on my bed just unwinding from the crazy day we had. The air was filled with lots of thoughts and silence.
"You know, when you're famous, all of these boys are gonna wanna sleep with you."
"And what would I even be famous for?"
"Your writing. Your gonne be a heart-breaker and all of these boys will be begging for it."
"No they won't." I
"Yes they will! I can see it now." He paused. "Too bad you're still a virgin." He said letting out a laugh.
"Shut-up Calum."
"Come on, you don't ever wonder what it's like?"
"I guess. I don't know. That's so uncomfortable to talk about Cal."
"I know. What if I took your virginity?"
"Calum Thomas Hood! Are you on crack?"
