"Hey babe, I'm running out for a few hours, I've got some stuff to do." I said leaving a sweet kiss on Calum's forehead as I slipped out of the apartment. Clicking the key to unlock my car I gripped the wheel, started the engine and started driving off to a coffee shop around the corner from the apartment. I went in and texted the person who I was meeting. I grabbed a carmel iced coffee and took a seat outside. I felt a tap on my shoulder, "Hey, how are you?" Keaton, my ex-boyfriend asked.

"I'm good. How are you?" I asked as he grabbed the seat across from me.

"I've uh, been okay I guess." It was awkward, especially since I didn't know why he wanted me to meet up with him. I especially did not want Calum finding out. "You look great Alana."

"Keaton, you really don't have to say that." I said shaking my head.

"So, I saw the other day that you're dating Calum Hood. I actually saw it the day after you and I broke up. You must move pretty quick."

"Keaton, it's not what you think."

"Then what is it?"

"I.. I can't tell you. Why should it matter? I was going to explain everything to you, but I walked in on you and your new girlfriend."

"Yeah but she didn't mean anything to me, I realized that after things ended badly between you and I. I was hoping that maybe you would want to go out some time."

"Are you serious? You know I'm dating Calum. I'm sorry you and your girlfriend didn't work out, but that doesn't mean I'm going to drop everything because you realized she isn't what you wanted."

"Can't we just talk?"

"There's nothing to talk about. There's a reason we didn't work out, it's bad enough I'm seeing you right now. I guess I'll see you around Keaton." I said standing up from the table and hurrying to my car. I drove off as fast as I could and sitting in my car I ran into the house as fast as I could. I tried to avoid Calum since he could always tell when something was wrong. As I almost made it into the bedroom without being noticed, he caught me. "Hey, what's wrong?" He asked staring into my eyes.

"Nothing." I said tearing away from his gaze.

"Babe, you can tell me. What's wrong?"

"Nothing Calum. I just wanna be left alone. Is that okay with you?" I snapped.

"No, it's not okay. Because I know you. You tell me you wanna be left alone when you really just want someone to talk to. So talk to me."

"I can't." My voiced cracked.

"I'm not letting you go if you don't tell me. I don't care what it is just tell me."

"I ran into Keaton! Are you happy now?"

"So you ran into him big deal?" He shrugged.

"No Calum, I agreed to meet with thim. He said he wanted to talk things over since they ended on a bad note. So I went there and he started trying to make me tell him about you and I. I mean like the truth."

"Did you tell him?"

"No..." I said letting a tear fall from the corner of my eye. "Are you mad?" I asked at his silence.

"Why didn't you just tell me?"

"Oh yeah sure, let me just say 'see you later I'm going to meet up with my ex-boyfriend'really?"

"Alana, I'm not mad. I'm just upset that you thought that you couldn't tell me. I want you to be able to tell me everything. Okay, so from now on, promise we tell each other everything."

"Okay..." I huffed releasing the breath I had been holding. I don't know why I delt the need to hide meeting up with Keaton from Calum. It wasn't really that big of a deal, I just didn't want him to get the wrong idea. But I couldn't help but also think was he not getting mad at me becuase he's afraid of hurting me again. If that's what he thought, he was wrong. If he wanted to hurt me again it would be doing what he did the first time we had sex together, which is brag and leave. Thinking about how much that hurt I just wanted to leave it all behind me. Unfortunately it was a lot easier said than done. Calum still needed time to cool off and collect his thoughts so he went and dropped off our little puppy Max back to his owner.

"What are you doing?" I asked walking into the living room where Calum was sitting watching TV.

"Watching TV. More importantly what are you doing walking around the house with just a towel on?"

I smirked knewing that it got him hot. "Nothing." I said walking past him as he tried to grab the towel off of me.

"What! Don't do that."

"Do what?" I asked playing dumb and walking into the bedroom slipping some clothes on, satisfied that I got Calum a little frustrated. He mozied into the bedroom pressing me up against the wall. "You really shouldn't tease me like that." He said in between kisses. As he said this I smiled in between our lips colliding. Stuff between us was getting pretty heated in the moment. I felt the feeling at the bottom of my stomach which meant I should stop before I let my hormones make a decision for me. "I think we should stop Cal." I said pulling our lips apart.

"Come on..." He whined.

"No." I giggled. "We both have to be up early tomorrow." I reminded as I crawled underneath the covers trying to find a comfortable spot so that I could fall alseep, but after staring at the ceiling for two hours I still wasn't growing tired. I tossed on my side attempting yet again to make myself comfortable. "Are you still up?" Calum asked facing me.

"Mhm, how about you?" I whispered staring into his eyes that were glimmering due to the little amount of light coming through the curtains.

"Yeah, I can't sleep either." He huffed pulling my tiny waist into him.

"I'm not keeping you up, am I?"

"No." He yawned. I felt bad even though he said I wasn't the one keeping him up I wanted to help him relax so I remembered from when we were kids that he liked it when I rubbed his back. I snuggled myself around his chest and reached my hand under his shirt and my fingertips lighty rubbed his toned back. "That feels so good." He mumbled as a sleepy tone took over his voice. I could tell by the change of his breathing that he was asleep. And once Calum passed out, it wasn't long until I followed.
