All I knew is that I was comfortable. I was in the arms of my boyfriend and that's the only thing that mattered. "Good morning." Calum huskily whispered in my ear quite honestly turning me on a bit, as if he didn't do enough of that last night. Everything he did was perfect. "Morning stranger." I huffed shifting my body around to face him. "I don't wanna leave." Calum admitted sticking out his thick bottom lip.
"I know, me either, but all good things must come to an end." I stretched out my arms and slid out from the comfy covers slipping on the clothes that I had worn yesterday. I packed the extra things in my bag. It was a Saturday which meant that we were definitely going to hit some major traffic on our way back to L.A. Luckily it was a cloudy day which meant that not many Californians would be heading to the beach. "All ready to go?" Calum asked picking up his backpack. I shook my head yes as we exited the suite and entered the lobby where we returned the keys and packed up the car. I threw my bag into the trunk shut it hard and snuggled up to the window taking in all that had happened last night. A few minutes into the drive I felt Calum's hand reach over to my thigh and I felt that strong sense of comfort yet again.

Reaching the driveway, I popped the trunk and removed my bag, swigging it over my shoulder. Calum held the door open for my like a gentleman and I wandered off to unpack both of our things. My attention was adverted when I felt a pair of cold hands wrap around my waist, which caused me to turn around facing my boyfriend who had a smiled across his face. "I'm trying to unpack." I fake whined still holding Calum's dirty laundry in my hands.
"Well, I have good news." Calum announced as I waited for him to continue. "We're nominated for an VMA."
My face immediately changed when Calum informed me on the great news. "Oh my God! Cal! That's amazing!!! I'm so so so happy for you!!"
"You know what this means right?"
"What?"
"We get to go out as a couple all dressed up and I get to show everyone what they can't have."
"Oh no, this means I have to find a dress, and shoes."
"Who said I wanted you to be my date?" Calum asked in a teasing tone.
"Who said I wanted to be your date. You're in a band with three other hot guys so I'll just go with one of them."
"You wouldn't dare." Calum smirked as I dropped the clothes in my hand and ran away picking up the car keys, as a joke of course. "Give me those." He giggled trying to reach behind my back to fetch them from me, which caused me to giggle. And because I was laughing so hard Calum got a hold of the keys sticking them down his pants. "Now you can't have them."
"Not like I haven't been down there before." I flushed as I realized the dirty comment I had just made, which was very unlike me.

Later on that night I got a call from Crystal who informed me on the dress that I was going to have to wear, what time the style team would be by, and she even went over the poses that Calum and I had to do on the red carpet, after he took photos with his band of course. Thinking of how the VMA's were only a few days away gave me a sense of excitement. Not only was I going to one of the biggest music events ever, but I was also going to get to spend it with someone who I really loved. After the long day of traveling and unpacking Calum and I had to do, we both decided to curl up into bed early tonight and just relax. "I can't believe that you guys are nominated for a VMA." I whispered to him.
"Me either." He agreed smiling and shaking his head in disbelief.
"I remember when we were little you and I used to play guitar hero and we would pretend we were in a band together. Your mom even recorded us playing it that one Christmas."
"Yeah I remember that. You always used to try and beat me in it, but you never did."
I slapped his chest playfully. "Okay, I never beat you in guitar hero, but I did beat you in Fifa multiple times."
"Hey, you promised you wouldn't bring that up again."
"You started it Mr.I used to beat you in guitar hero."
"It's okay Lannie I forgive you."
"Ugh you're such a jerk."
"But you love me anyway."
"Maybe" I joked in return.I nuzzled my face into his chest wanting to be close to him. His scent was right under me. Calum always smelled like his cologne which I loved. Thinking about everything, I knew it might sound crazy but I'm in love with everything about him. The way his face lights up when he smiles and his eyes. And in all seriousness that jaw line. My thoughts soon transformed into a dream once I had fallen asleep.

Something had woken me up at around 7:30, it was Kayliegh. I had forgotten how mad I was at her and decided to meet with her for breakfast. I should at least hear her out right? Arriving at the restaurant I took a seat ordering some caramel coffee and a bagel. Kayliegh arrived not too long after in a baby blue jumper paired with a jean jacket with some white espadrilles. "Hi." Kayliegh greeted as she took the seat across from me. "Hi." I answered back pushing out a small smile.
"How are you?" She asked.
"Good, and you?"
"Horrible."
"What's wrong?"
"I hate you being mad at me Lan, I need my best friend back."
"I'm not mad anymore. I was just angry at the time that you decided to bring that up, especially on my birthday, at my party, with a bunch of my closets friends."
"I know, and I'm sorry. I really am."
"Can I just ask why?"
"I don't know, I guess I'm just jealous."
"Jealous?" I asked confused as to what she was jealous of.
"You're life is taking off. You're publishing your thrid book, your own movie about your book is being filmed, you're on a cover of a magazine, you're going to the VMA's with your boyfriend who is basically a sex symbol, and I can't help but think how come I can't have that. I haven't had an audition since God knows when. Everything is falling into place for you... how come stuff doesn't work like that for me."
"Kay, everything that I have in my life is because I worked for it. Never in a million years would I have thought that I was going to be a best selling author, or filming a movie, or being on the cover of a magazine, or even dating Calum. And for you to say something to try and sabotage that is a little concerning to me."
"I'm sorry. I don't know how many times I have to say it." She sneered which pushed me over my boiling point.
"If that's how you feel then maybe you and I shouldn't be friends."
"Are you sure you wanna do that? I think I know too much about you and your 'boyfriend' so if I were you I would watch your step." Kayliegh warned stepping closer to me causing my breath to hitch.
"If you're trying to threaten me, you should probably try harder."
