"I can't believe we're leaving tomorrow." Calum sighs as we're both laying down on his bed. Although it was a sad visit to Australia it was nice to see my family and I bet it was nice for Calum too.
"I know, I just honestly can't wait to be able to hug and kiss you again."
"Yeah, well I think maybe we should tell our parents."
"Are you joking?! Your dad will kill me."
"Calum.. He won't kill you."
"When we were growing up your dad always said he wanted to you be with a boy who was gonna be sucessful and be able to provide the big beach house in California. The collegiate business man that was destined to be a C.E.O so that he could make good money and you could stay home and enjoy the California living. I can't give that to you." His face was becoming sad by the way he was talking about the way he didn't reach my father's "standards."
"Hey." I said grabbing his face and making him look me in the eyes. "Things have changed since then. When my dad said that I wasn't a best-selling author, I wasn't in California, and I wasn't in a relationship with you. Yes, you might have hurt me in the past, but this is the present and the future and I can't imagine myself with anyone else."
"How?"
"How what?"
"How did I get so lucky?"
"I don't know honestly. I mean you're like a solid 6 and I'm a 10." I joked. "Just as lucky as you think you are, I think I'm just as lucky just to be with you." I leaned in and kissed him. He pulled back and looked me in the eyes before kissing me again. The kiss got heated as he rolled me onto my back and working his way down my neck and jawline.
"Hey Cal-" Mali walked in but panicked when she saw us making out on Calum's bed. He crawled off of me and my cheeks were flushed. "I knew it." She said shaking her head and smirking at the two of us.
"What did you know?" He asked trying to cover up what Mali just walked in on, but it wasn't working.
"Seriously Calum, I knew you two were together. The way you were staring at her ass the whole time was a dead give away." I shot him a look as if to say are you kidding me Calum. "And walking in on you two having a pretty heated make-out session just validates it."
"Mali, you can't tell her parents, or mum and dad."
"I won't, but you will. You should."
"How are we supposed to tell them that we're dating?"
"Just say it." She shrugged closing the door behind her.

That night we were all gathered at the Hood's. The dinner was quiet due to the fact that everyone was sad that we were leaving and had no idea what to say. "So Calum, are you seeing anyone?" My mum asked.
"Mum!" I shouted giving her a look to say none of your business. Calum jerked which meant Mali had kicked him under the table.
"I would like to know that question myself." Joy added.
"Actually I am."
"More detail than that." Mali smirked causing Calum's cheeks to become flushed.
"She uh, she's amazing actually. She's pretty famous and I uh, I'm glad that I'm with her."
"Alana have you met her yet?" My mum asked putting another forkful of food in her mouth.
"Yeah, I actually know her pretty well." I said trying to hide my smile back.
"Oh for God sakes just tell them it's you Alana." My sister Riley yelled rolling her eyes. Everyone's faces dropped when she said this, except for her and Mali.
"Alana, honey, is this true?" My mom questioned.
"Yes." I said avoiding eye contact with her.
"When were you going to tell us?" She asked.
"Mrs. South, Alana was afraid to tell you because she didn't know that you and Mr. South would approve of us dating." Calum said squeezing my hand.
"Honey, is that true?"
"Yeah, I was afraid you wouldn't approve."
"Well, I'm not happy that you didn't tell us, but I'm glad that you're with a boy like Calum." She smiled. And after dinner was finished my dad went up to Calum and I. "Don't hurt my daughter Hood, or I'll kill you." My dad said tightening his grips around Calum's neck.
"Of course sir." Calum said sweating trying to control his nerves. My dad joined my mom in the house leaving Calum and I to relax outside on my swing that was tied to the tree. "I remember going on this swing everytime you were upset I'd come over here and swing with you until everything was all okay."
"I remember that."
"Did you ever have a crush on me back then?"
"Yeah, I had a little bit of a crush on you, but I figured you would never go for a girl like me so it kind of just passed. Did you ever have a crush on me?"
"A little bit when we were younger, but when we weren't frinds and that reporter made us kiss, I felt it again. All of those feelings coming back. I knew that I liked you even more this time."
"I didn't know that."
"Yeah, and then you just wanted to be friends and I have to tell you, that night you gave me a massage, I had to end it early cause you kinda gave me a boner."
"Oh no, I'm so sorry Cal."
"Why are you apologizing?"
"I don't know." I shrugged. "But we should get going, our flight is leaving pretty soon." Calum and I drove to the airport and said our goodbyes. It was hard leaving Australia. Technically Calum and I were supposed to be in Mexico enjoying each other's company, but I don't think that we would've come anyitme soon if my aunt hadn't passed away. Everything happens for a reason right? All I knew is I was excited to be going home, but then it hit me that reality was just beginning.
