I woke up to see my boyfriend Keaton sound asleep. I rolled off the bed to make some coffee and tea. I was in desperate need after last night. Turning on a kettle I felt warm hands and bare skin press up against my back. "Good morning my beautiful girlfriend."
"Morning." I squeaked turning around to kiss Keaton, my boyfriend for about five months now.
"Last night was crazy. I'm so hungover." Keaton said sprawling out on the couch.
"Well.." I started. "Maybe you shouldn't drink so much babe." I semi-joked.
"I know, I know." He cocked his eyebrows at me. "But maybe my amazing girlfriend could make me an amazing hangover breakfast."
I giggled shaking my head, "Sorry I have to go to a book signing."
"Damn, why do you have to be a best-selling author again?"
I rolled my eyes at his sarcastic question. "Hey, is it okay if I bring Kayleigh to Wes' party tonight?"
"Yeah, I don't see why not. It's gonna be so chill tonight."
"Well, I can't wait. But first I have to get through this book signing."
"Have fun." Keaton said waving me off as I got ready and walked out of my/our apartment. Starting the engine of my 2014 red mini cooper I pulled out, sat in about twenty minutes of typical L.A. traffic, and was finally at Creative Kicks Bookstore. I walked in and greeted my manager. "There she is." Crystal my manager said taking me by the shoulders and leading me off to the long table that had a small stack of my books on it, a marker, and an iced tea. "Come have a seat, the doors are going to open any minute." Crystal started shuffling around trying to find the manager of the store. She loved having everything in order. And just like Crystal said, after a couple of minutes the fan started piling in. I could see their happy faces once they saw me. They lined up in bundles and a group of three teenage girls greeted me. "Hi girls." I said smiling at them. "So who's this one out to?" You asked signing your autograph.
"Cassie. That one's to me, Cassie. I'm a huge fan of this book. And you, I'm a big fan of you." The teenage girl babbled.
"To Cassie, live laugh love Alana." I closed the hardcover copy and handed it to her shaking hands, "Here you go."
"Can I get a picture with you?"
"Of course!" I said smiling for the selfie. The next girl greeted me. "Hi, how are you?" I asked.
"I'm good, this one goes out to Christina. I just wanted to say thank you so much, your first book helped me through a really rough break up with my boyfriend."
"Ugh, I feel ya Christina." I handed the book back to her. "Here you go, I hope you enjoy!" She smiled with her new signed copy of your book Cute with a Curve. This book was about my post break-up and my somewhat newly sparked relationship with my totally opposite boyfriend, Keaton. Which was surprisingly already a big hit. Again, who knew my lame love in a fantasized, drawn out version could be such a hit.

A cramped/sore hand, and a few hours later my book signing was complete. Crystal offered to take me out to lunch, but after looking at the time, added along with a half an hour to an hour of traffic time,I really needed to get going so that I could get ready for Wes, Keaton's brother and bandmate's, party. Just as I thought, there was an hour of traffic and thankfully I had made it back in time, not too far behind schedule. I started getting ready by hopping in the shower, straightening my hair and slipping on my tight, black bandage dress. Walking out of the bathroom the clock read 7:30 and I needed to be at the pub by eight. "Whoa babe, you look awesome." Keaton said eyeing every inch of my body and smirking.
