"Alana Paige South, it has been a week since the incident you can't be lying in bed all day. Time to get up." Zoe demanded pulling the curtains open and flashing me with the bright light of the sun causing me to moan and groan. "Come on sunshine, it's 12 o'clock, you and I are getting dressed up and going out tonight."
-
Initially I didn't want to go out due to the past events this week, but Zoe gave me no choice. She forced me to wear crop top and jean shorts that were ripped at the bottom. I was dragged towards the bar whether I liked it or not. "It will be fun. We're gonna have some drinks and talk to some hot boys. The best way to get over someone is to get under someone else. Walking over to the bar I was apprehensive, but maybe all I needed was some liquid courage. Zoe ordered us some mohitos and we were perring around the place to try and find some attractive boys however looking around, the only boy I really wanted to see what Calum, despite what he had just done to me. "Hey, Alana look at the hot guy who's looking in this direction." Zoe sang in my ear as I turned to see who was walking towards me. It was Liam, the model from my photo-shoot. "Damn girl, looks like he's coming over here."
"Hi, I don't know if you remember me, I'm Liam, from the photo-shoot." The tall, dark, brown hair, blue-eyed boy said sticking his hand out to shake mine. Drew was wearing some Ralph Lauren t-shirt paired with khaki pants and a nice rolex watch that fit nicely on his muscled arms.
"Of course." I said smiling as I felt Zoe's face lighten up. "Liam, this is my friend Zoe, Zoe, this is Liam."
"Nice to meet you Zoe, if you don't mind, I was gonna ask your friend here if she woukd like to dance."
"Nope, not a problem at all, you kids have fun." As Liam pulled me away I turned back and mouthed Oh My God which made her smile back at me. The music was slow and steady and Liam snaked his hands around my waist as I clasped my hands around his neck. "So, how have you been Alana?"
"I've been busy, how about you?"
"Pretty busy as well. So I was watching the news the other night and..." Liam stopped mid-sentence when he realized that I was dazed and consued, which I was. I had picked up my head and saw Calum. "Hey isn't that the guy that was with you at the photo-shoot?"
"Uh.. yeah." I said in a not so proud tone.
"So is he like your boyfriend?" Liam asked in a tone that made me think he was hoping I would say 'no'.
"No.. not anymore."
"What are you doing with my girlfriend?" Calum asked pushing Liam away from me.
"Nothing man." Liam responded putting his hands up surrender. "Hey, I didn't know you two were still dating."
"We're not." I interjected pulling Liam closer to me. "Don't worry Calum, we're leaving."

Liam's apartment was nice, clean, and simple. It's colors mostly consisted of metal, silver, and black, but it was classy. Now, standing here, things were getting pretty heated. His lips were in sync with mine and his hands were romaing all over my body. Once he started kissing my neck I let out a breathy moan. "Feel good?" He asked making my eyes shut and he pulled packed pulling his t-shirt over his head. What did I get myself into? As he went to come closer to me I put my hand out. "I'm sorry, I can't do this. Not because I don't want to, but because it's barely been a week."
"No, it's..it's cool. I can drive you home, or I can call an Uber or something."
"That would be great." I said in an appreciative tone. I sombered over to the couch and sat there while I waited for the taxi to arrive. "Thank you, for tonight. And also, I wanted to apologize for being such a tease."
"Hey, you don't need to apologize to me. You're probably one of the best kissers I know. Just promise you'll call or text me."
"I promise." I giggled standing up and leaving a kiss on Liam's cheek as I slid into the cab which drove and dropped me off at Zoe's house. I knew walking into the door she was going to pound me with a millon of questions wether I liked it or not. And once she realized that I didn't sleep with Dexter that was going to lead into even more questions. "Zoe, I'm home."
"What happened? I saw you two dancing and then poof you were gone." Zoe asked inquisitively.
"It was going great until Calum showed up and pushed Liam away from me. Then we went back to Liam's apartment and hung out."
"So when you say 'hung out' I do hope you mean you had sex with him."
"No, I didn't and he respected that. I'm just not ready, and I know I should be bu-"
"No, Lana, there is no rush to get over Calum, he was your first love, that's not something one pint of Ben and Jerry's and a good hook up can fix, it's gonna take some time."
"Alright, well thanks for being a great friend tonight, and the other nights, you've been pretty awesome helping me through all of this." I gave Zoe a quick hug and headed of to bed. I didn't realize until my makeup was off, pajamas were on, and hair was up that Calum had sent me a huge text message.

Listen, I know that I was out of line tonight, interrupting you and Liam. But I can't stop thinking about you, about us. I need you back in my life. The house is so empty without your laugher, or cooking. I miss hearing music all the time, or hearing the TV on when you're snuggled up on your favorite part of the couch. Alana, i know I messed up... I don't know what else to say besides the fact that I'm sorry. I should have told you. And yes, I'll admit, I wanted to date you for publicity and I wanted you to forgive me, but you need to know that everything we had together was real. Every word that I said was true. I love you... forever and always. How could he do this? Why does he think that just because he sends me this text message that people only dream and read about that this means everything between me and him are going to be okay. The text made my stomach drop. I needed to move on. It was time for me to move on.
