He had a decent memory of the medical field and wielding a sword but never had he heard of a man being pregnant
Slowly Izuku fell to the ground while muttering that it was physically impossible for a man to carry a child
"S-sir?" The maid said worried for his state
Izuku looked at her wide eyed not knowing what to say or how to process everything
He had been calm when waking up and receiving the news from the queen but it feels as everything just smacked him
And then learning he's carrying a child for the past 3 months made him finally lose the state of shock he was in for the past day.
"I-it's i-impossible..." his head was a mess
Just who was he? Where did he come from? Who's the other parent of the child he's carrying?
The queen came running in after having the maid come crying that she had ruined the surprise
"Midori....calm down honey" she said looking into izuku's eyes, "your going to be alright just steady your breathing"
His breath did steady but he kept gasping for breath
"H-how is that possible?..."
"I'm not quite sure but it's been around for many years now"
Izuku touched his stomach, there wasn't any physical sign of him being pregnant
"b-but wasn't I stabbed in the stomach, Shouldn't the child died from the amount of blood I lost?"
the queen looked at izuku before she sighed. "you see....when we first found you and we found out you were pregnant we were sure the unborn child wouldn't make it from the blood loss, thankfully the stabbings barely missed but as of now you still run the risk of a miss carriage"
izuku nodded his head slowly in understanding, he looked down at his stomach again worrying for the little life he was carrying
"When do men start showing?" he suddenly asked
"I believe it's around the 6 to 7th month" the queen smiled
She helped Izuku off the ground
"But you'll need to be careful as men don't necessarily have the female body to properly fully deliver a child, so any stress can kill the child" she sighed taking a seat
"You mentioned earlier that this isn't news known to everyone...why's that?"
Jasmine huffed as she put her hair behind one ear
"Like I said, Endeavor's grandfather who at the time was the emperor didn't like our knowledge, actually Former Emperor Endeavor had an older brother the crown prince, but the crown prince was different" Jasmine's gaze focused to the ground, "he liked men, and one day he decided to sleep with his partner and shortly after his partner got pregnant"
"But the late prince knew we had discovered men could get pregnant, his partner gave birth here but now the prince had another problem, his grandfather was disgusted by his relationship and absolutely didn't want the prince to become the emperor"
"Why? He didn't do anything wrong!"
"That's right, the prince wanted to share this knowledge with everyone but the late Emperor didn't like that so he silenced him" The queen shivered at the memory
"He decapitated his own grandson in my castle in front of my father, he then threatened us war if we decided to share this knowledge"
Izuku felt sick, what a cruel man the late Emperor was
"Former Emperor Endeavor also threatened me to stay quiet or else I would meet the same fate as his brother, I heard a new emperor took the crown but I don't know how this new emperor is" the queen sighed once again
"What happened to the late prince's partner?" Izuku felt a need to know if this person was perhaps still alive
"The poor thing fell into depression and shortly died 4 years after the prince"
"A-and the child?" Izuku was scared for the answer
"Their son grew into a fine Man, we grew up together and when we were both 15 he decided to travel the world and ever since then I haven't heard anything of him" the queen smiled at the sad memory
"But I can't risk it, if I go out and ask who you are, you along with your unborn child will be killed and my kingdom will burn to flames"
Izuku felt at lost for words, just how was the world outside of this kingdom?
"But it's your choice to leave if you want"
Izuku hesitates before speaking,"I-I'd rather stay here and give birth....your kingdom has more knowledge"
The queen smirked, "good choice"
