Chapter 17: Anniversary

ANNIKAS POV

It has been about a week since Joe was sick last and today is our 3 year anniversery! I was so happy because Joe and I were going to go appartment hunting! I really wanted to live with him so now we get to go find our own place.

I woke up by Joe making something in the kitchen. I knew it was him since I could smell smoke. I groaned and went upstairs. Sure enough there was Joe trying to cook something.

"Morning Joe." I said. He jumped and turned to me. 

"Geez! Im sorry. I was trying to make you a good breakfast but it turns out I cant cook." Joe pouted.

"Dont worry about it. I can make something quickly." I pushed past Joe and saw he was trying to cook some bacon. 

"Here. Let me show you an easier way of cooking bacon." I told Joe. I took the pan and threw away the old bacon. I took the box of bacon out of the freezer and I took out a large glass plate. I put paper towel on the plate and spread out a few pieces of bacon out.

"Now what?" Joe questioned.

"Now we stick it in the microwave for 2 minutes and we will have perfect bacon." I typed in 2:00 on the microwave. When it beeped i took it out and I gave the plate to Joe. We each tested a piece.

"Wow! That really good!" Joe exclaimed taking another piece.

"Dont eat it all. I have to make some eggs first." I explained.

"You know how to make eggs too!" I just laughed and he watched me as I made 2 over easy eggs for him and 2 for me. 

When we finished eating I decided on taking a shower. I ran the water and I stood in the shower and washed my hair and body. I felt so fresh. I grabbed my towel and changed into the clothes I planned on wearing. I chose a more sophisticated look since we were going apartment hunting. 

I pulled out my black leggings and a white loose top. Then I curled my hair and put just the sides up. I did my makeup and went down to find Joe already dressed. 

"Ready to go look for our own place?" He asked me.

"I sure am!" I replied before pecking his lips. We walked to his car and drove to where we were meeting our relator.

"Hello! Im Samantha and I will be helping you look for your first apartment together! Im assuming your married?" She asked.

"No not yet. Just dating." Joe said.

"Well, ok. Lets go to the first apartment complex. This complex has all shops close by but we are still in Bath so its still close to home." She said.

"Is there good transportation?" I asked.

"There is. The tube is right down the street and there are the taxi's and such." 

We went on with the whole tour of about 3 apartments and we went with the first one. It was big enough for the 2 of us. It had 4 bedrooms so we were planning on having one guest room and 2 office's for the both of us. It was beautiful. I loved it. We made the offer and got the call later on saying we got it. We were so happy. We had to pack everything up and bring it to the new apartment soon. 

After our long day of apartment hunting we decided to get a bite to eat at a restraunt in London. We chose to eat at Adobo mexican restraunt. The food was great there. We ate like crazy then decided to walk around London. It was very cold out and a light snow began to fall. I put my beanie on to keep my head warm and Joe did the same. We had matching beanies. Mine said HE'S MINE and Joes said SHE'S MINE. It was cheesey but we both loved them so much.

We got home and Caspar was watching TV.

"Hey Caspar." I said.

"Hey how did it go?" He asked.

"Great! We got an apartment!" I cheered.

"For real! Thats great!" He sounded excited but I could tell he was going to miss Joe and I. Joe went down to his room and I stayed to talk to Caspar.

"I know you are upset we got the apartment." I said.

"No....Im very happy for you guys its just that its going to be weird not having anyone to live with." Caspar asserted.

"I know but we will still come here all the time!"

"I doubt it. You will both probably move away and for get about poor little caspar."

"Of course not! You are just talking silly! We will come visit you all the time and you can come to my place and we can have little parties and we can make video collabs and everything! It will still stay the same! You can even have Gaby live here or something."

"We broke up."

"Oh! Im so sorry. I didnt know."

"Its totally fine. We broke uo but we are still really good friends even if we arent together. We both decided it was best for us because we didnt want to make our friendship awkward or anything so we just broke up." 

"Oh. Ok. But trust me Casp, we will never forget about you. Plus, we still live in Bath so its not like we will be in London or Brighton where you have to drive an hour or so. We are within a mile or two from right here. Its really not that bad ok?"

"Alright. I just know that I will be all lonely. Maybe I should see if anyone has a roommate or whatever. I cant have Alfie because hes with Zoe, Marcus is with Niaomi, Jim is with Tanya. Everyones taken!"

"Dont stress about it. I'm sure you will find someone willing to room with you. I mean this apartment is beautiful!" 

"Thanks so much Annika. Your a great friend."
