Chapter 28: Bye Jack

JOE'S POV

It was 9:30 and I was driving Annika to her appointment. She was so nervous as was I but I was also very excited. I cant believe I was going to have another child! 

As we pulled up to the hospital Annika's phone rang.

"Hello Jack!" She answered to her brother. "Yes. No. Im at my doctors appointment. Alfie and Zoe. Today?! Why did you just tell me?! Ok. Yeah. After my appointment. I'll call. Bye." She hung up.

"What was that all about?" I asked once I parked the car. 

"Jack is moving today and needs help packing." She shook her head.

"After the appointment we need to help then?"

"Yeah." 

"Ok." I sighed. She really loves Jack. She almost lost him once and now he's moving. Its terrible but its what he has to do if he wants to be with his wife. 

We walked in to the hospital and checked in. We got in right away because not many people were around. I saw the nurse come call Annika in. We both walked in together and the nurse smiled at us and told us to follow. We got to a small room. I sat on a chair and Annika sat on the table in the middle of the room.

"Alright Annika. Im Nurse Gordon  but you can just call me Hannah." Hannah said.

"Hello. So I just want to introduce you to my husband Joe." Annika replied motioning to me.

"Hello Joe. Very nice to meet you." She smiled at me.

"Yes, you to." I said. Then Hannah started doing her job. She asked questions and took the blood pressure and weight and all that fancy stuff. Then she left and we waited for Dr. Joy to come in. We both just sat there in silence. The room was very small and there wasnt much to do in there. I felt very claustrophobic.

"Im getting less nervous now." Annika broke the silence.

"Im glad. Im very excited. I always wanted kids so to be able to have a second is amazing." I replied. Annika smiled at me and there was a knock on the door. Then Dr. Joy came in.

"Annika! Joe! So nice to see you all again!" She was very bubbly and I thought she was a great doctor.

"Nice to see you to." Annika admits. She gave Dr. Joy a hug then the doctor started asking some of the same questions that Hannah asked. After she finished that she had Annika lay down to do an altrasound.

"Ok....So it looks like you've been pregnant for about 6 weeks now. So about a month. I can tell you that you will probably start to show more in about a few weeks or so. But your baby looks very healthy." Dr. Joy explained.

"Thank you so much." Annika replied sitting up.

"Its no problem. Have a nice day now."

"You too." Dr. Joy left and Annika got off the table. We heade to the car and started driving to Jack's house.

ANNIKA'S POV

When we arrived at Jack's house I started getting worried. I never thought I would see him move to Australia. He has always been there for me and now he's just going to be gone. I mean I still have Finn but having Jack there is like another person to help me when Finn can't. Its just that after Jack got in the crash and lost almost all his memory it got me scared and I never wanted him to leave or get hurt. But I know he's doing what he has to do.

I walked to the door and Jack answered. He wrapped me into a hug and then gave Joe a hug too. The house was pretty much empty beside the boxes. There was 2 rooms that still needed to pack up and that was about it. So we got to work. I packed all his things into boxes that were in the kitchen. When I got to the fridge there was still a lot of food. I looked at everything then Jack came up behind me.

"Im planning on sending it to a food shelf." He explains.

"Thats great Jack. Do you want to package them?" I asked.

"That would be great.  I have the packaging in the cabinat right below you." I opened up the cabinet and pulled out the packaging and a sharpie. I started putting all the food in bags and labeling them. When  I finished I set everything on the counter in a big box labeled FOOD SHELF.  I went to the living room where Jack and Joe were sitting on the floor.

"How are we going to get all this to Australia?" I asked.

"I talked to some friends of mine that work at the airport and they said that they can send all my stuff on a different plan and have it delivered to mine and Ella's place." Jack asserted.

"Ok. Sounds good." I said sitting down. Joe was texting away.

"It looks like Zoe and Alfie have a meeting for a project. We need to head home before they have to go." Joe told me.

"Alright. Well, bye Jack." I said standing up.

"Bye Annika. My flight leaves late tonight so I should arrive early tomorrow morning. I'll call you as soon as I can." Jack said pulling me into a hug.

"I just cant believe you are actually leaving." I had tears in my eyes.

"I know. You can always visit."

"Where am I going to get money to go to Australia, Jack?"

"Ok, Ok....I can find ways to get you here and I can come to you too."

"Thank you Jack. Be safe."

"I promise I will." Tears started falling down my cheeks. Jack rubbed them away. I backed up and Joe said goodbye.

"Bye mate." Joe said hugging Jack.

"See you later. Maybe when I come around here sometime I'll call you and we can make a video or something." Jack replied.

"Sounds good. Maybe I can get Annika to do her channel more then you can collab with her."

"That would be great." Joe and I started walking to the door. I waved and we left. I was really going to miss Jack.

A/N:

I have been updating more lately but thats because im on Thanksgiving break atm.  I have school starting up again Tuesday......thats 2 days! :(    And tomorrow Im at my grandmas so dont know if I'll be able to upload. Im sorry...... i will post asap though! :)
