"Harry! Harry!" The dark haired boy turned away from Cho when he heard his sister calling his name as she ran across the courtyard.
"Everything alright?" He asked as he grabbed her arms to keep her from barreling straight into him.
"Hermione... Hermione wanted me to tell you." She panted put between breaths. "Hagrid's back!"
Harry's face lit up and he turned to Cho already following Alison as she pulled on his arm. "Sorry! I'll catch up with you later!"
"Where have you been? We've been looking all over for you!"
Ron asked once the Potter siblings caught up to them as they quickly walked towards Hagrid's house."With his girlfriend!" Alison giggled before Harry could say anything, making his face turn bright red.
"Were they sucking each other's faces off in the courtyard again?" Ron asked half jokingly, enjoying trying to make his friend's face turn as dark red as possible.
"Can we maybe not talk about that with my little sister right here?" Harry groaned, glaring at each rock they passed.
"Oh please, it's not like I haven't seen it before." Alison rolled her eyes then stopped suddenly at Umbridge's voice coming from inside Hagrid's.
"I'm ordering you to tell me where you were and I won't ask again."
"Get down." Hermione whispered as she ducked under the window, the other three quickly following.
"I told you. I've been away for me health." The four slowly peered into the window and saw Hagrid nervously pulling at his fingers, unable to make eye contact with Umbridge who stood with her hands on her hips in front of him, a disbelieving look on her face.
"Your health?" She repeated, her lips pursing.
"Yeah. A bit of fresh air, you know." Alison and Hermione looked at each other and rolled their simultaneously. Hagrid was such a terrible liar.
"Oh yes." Umbridge's voice dripped with venom. "As Gamekeeper, fresh air must be difficult to come by If I were you, I mightn't bother unpacking at all."
The students ducked a bit lower behind the crates separating them and Umbridge when she came stalking out of the hut, waiting until she was almost out of sight before slipping into Hagrid's.
"Hagrid! You're back!" Harry threw his arms around the half-giant with a wide smile, feeling very elated their friend was finally back despite the encounter they'd just overheard.
"What happened to you?" Hermione asked as the four of them sat around the table while Hagrid pulled five large cups from the cabinet.
The Gamekeeper sighed as he poured them some tea them sat across from them. "Suppose there's no point in keeping secrets from the lot of you. Yeh four always find out somehow anyways." He grumbled then took a deep breath. "This is top-secret, right? Dumbledore sent me to parley with the giants."
"Giants!" Ron gasped, his eyes going as wide as the saucers under their large teacups.
"You found them?" Hermione asked, leaning forwards curiously.
"Well, they're not that hard to find, to be perfectly honest." Hagrid explained, shrugging his shoulders. "They're so big, see? I tried to convince them to join the cause. But I wasn't the only one that was trying to win them over."
"Death Eaters." Alison whispered, setting her teacup now. The liquid already in her stomach began to churn uneasily and she didn't think she'd be able to keep anymore down.
Hagrid sighed and nodded. "Tryin to persuade them you join You-Know-Who."
"Did they?" Harry asked, his knuckles white as he gripped the handle of his cup. If Voldemort is able to get giants on his side...
