Alison sighed as she and Ginny sat anxiously on the couch in front of the fireplace at the Burrow with Mrs. Weasley standing in the doorway, searching the skies for any signs of the others. They were supposed to be back already. At least the twins, Ron and Arthur were for sure.
After the last day of school she had immediately gone to the Grimmauld Place while Harry returned to their aunt and uncle's, a strict order from Dumbledore before he died apparently. But tonight was the night was being moved. The plan was for several of the Order members to go to the Dursley's, along with Ron and Hermione, and turn half of them in Harry using Polyjuive Potion, then escort him safely to the Burrow for Bill and Fleur's wedding.
A plan she wished she had seen the look on her brother's face when they told him. Harry's biggest downfall, she knew, was his inability to let others help him. To let others risk their lives to save his.
She and Ginny has both been furious when they volunteered to go and help but were immediately turned down and told to stay with Mrs. Weasley, claiming they were still underage and it was too dangerous.
"Someone's here!" Molly ran from the doorway as Ginny and Alison jumped to her feet and ran after her, Alison pushing past both of them to see if it was the real Harry that was back. She hadn't seen him in weeks.
Hagrid and Harry, the real one she knew as Hagrid insisted on being the one to take the real Harry from the Dursley's as he had been the one to bring them there all those years ago, came stumbling out of the lake looking soaked and much the worse for wear. Something had gone wrong, the three of them knew it immediately.
"Harry!" Alison ran to her brother and hugged him as tightly as she could, relived he was safe and okay.
Harry sighed with relief as he clutched onto his fourteen year old sister and buried her face in his hair. Hagrid has told him she and Ginny had fought real hard to try to come but his nerves were completely shot as it was. The fight had looked absolutely vicious and Alison could have been the one dying to protect him instead of Hedwig. Something he'd never be able to live with.
"Hagrid!" Molly and Ginny caught you with them. "What happened? Where are the others?"
Hagrid suddenly paled and he looked like he could faint at any moment. "Is no one else back?" He asked, voice thick with worry. He twisted and pulled on his fingers nervously. "They we're onto us from the start, Molly. We didn't stand a chance."
Molly gently pulled Harry and Alison apart then began ushering them towards the Burrow while Ginny and Hagrid followed. "Well, thank goodness the two of you are alright."
"Death Eaters were waiting for us. Attacked us." Hagrid explained as he opened the door.
"Tonks and Ron should have been back." Ginny whispered, looking as pale and worried as her mother. "And dad with Fred too."
A sudden, loud popping sound behind them caused all five of them to spin around, reaching for their wands just in case.
"Quick! Everyone into the house!" Lupin called out as he dragged a half looking George and half looking Harry towards them, one side of his face completely soaked with blood.
"Ginny get a wet cloth!" Molly instructed as she helped Remus lie George onto the couch, tilting his head so everyone could see the large, bleeding hole where his ear had once been.
Lupin suddenly grabbed onto Harry's arm and shoved him against the wall, his wand at his throat. "What creature sat in the corner the first time when Harry Potter visited of my office in Hogwarts?" He shouted.
"What are you doing?" Alison asked, stepping forward to pull him off brother but Ginny grabbed her arm, holding her back.
"Are you mad?" Harry asked then winced when Remus shouted in his face, his eyes full of fear.
