Chapter 33

Zan and I celebrated our birthdays last night at ATOA restobar and all I can say is, that was the best birthday ever. Masaya kasi yung mga bisita, close friends namin kaya walang ilangan. I introduced my friends to Zan's friends kaya nabingi ako sa mga tili nina Brian, Therese, Leah, Crysta, Jane, Sheila and Wendy. Hindi ko naman sila masisi kasi gwapo naman talaga yung mga kaibigan ni Zandré.

Kuya Migs, Mauve and Shana attended too with my aunts and uncles. Tapos si Mauve presented this video, yung vids namin ni Zan when we were younger. Thay was soooo embarrasing! Pulang-pula na nga pagmumukha ko nung may isang part dun when I was wearing a bathing suit with shades pa when I was 7 years old at sumasayaw pa ako noon! Paulo shouted 'Sexy!' na dahilan para tumawa yung mga bisita. Labis-labis na batok at sapak ang natanggap niya galinh sa akin at kay Zan dahil doon.

Pero may time na seryoso talaga lahat. Lalo na yung time na kumanta si Trent at nagbigay ng konting speech para kay Zan. Yung kambal ko naman, pumunta pa sa platform and hugged Trent. Sumigaw pa ako ng 'Kiss!' coz ang cheesy nila. Zan turned to me tapos nagsalita siya sa mic habang nakatingin kay Trent at sinabing, 'Kiss mo daw kambal ko'. Puro 'ayeee' ang narinig ko at sa sobrang hiya ko, nakapag-cuss pa ako kaya natawa lang yung lahat.

All in all, my favorite part was the eating. I love food tapos puro favorites ko pa yung handa. At exactly 11:15, napagod na lahat kaya nagsiuwian na rin.

And now, its February 23. Birthday ko at ni Lemuel. Kahit na sinabay na yung celeb ng birthday ko at ni Zan kagabi, Nic and the rest persuade na magpa-party pa raw kami ngayon. Tho makiki-celebrate lang ako kay Lem. The venue's at Zick restobar. Kasama yung barkada at mga kaibigan ni Lem, pati na rin yung mga ka-bloc nila. Which means, Faye's present.

Its 4pm now. At andito pa ako sa kwarto, naghahanap ng masusuot. Lem's the type of guy who throw lavicious parties even without a celebration. Ano na lang yung ngayon na birthday niya? I don't want to be so out of place ngayon kaya I'm browsing through my closet for a cozy dress.

"Baby girl, Therese's downstairs already," I heard Zan said at the other end of the door.

"Awp. Can you please tell her to co--" hindi ko pa natatapos yung sasabihin ko, bumukas na yung pinto at pumasok na si Therese. "Nevermind."

"Bonjour!"

Tinaasan ko siya ng kilay. "And what's with the French greeting?"

"Wala lang. Ahihihi!" tumakbo siya papunta sa kama ko tapos tumalon doon at nagpagulong-gulong. "Yung pinsan mo ba na si Mauve? May girlfriend na ba yun?"

I peered at her. "Don't tell me you fell for his charms!"

She tucked her hair behind her ear. "Eeh, hindi naman. We exchaged numbers last night tapos we were texting all day. Baka kasi may girlfriend yun tapos sugurin ako kasi tinetext ko si Mauve."

I sighed. "Nah, he's a player. He doesn't do relationships, puro fling lang. Anyway, what happened to that Irish guy? Yung crush mo?"
