Chapter 19: Cold Soft Shoulders

NARRATOR POV

As Axel stepped into the bus, he stopped in the front aisle with shock apparent on his face.

'Of course, it had to be this class.' It was an actual effort to not roll his eyes back as he heard the predictable gasps resonate in the bus. The bus actually belonged to Class 1-A's and this annoyed him to no end as he saw the green-haired boy again.

Aizawa looked over to (Y/n) who seemed irresponsive on Axel's shoulder.

"Is she alright?"

Axel nodded to the teacher then heard the familiar sickening groans coming from his female classmate. He quickly looked around to find a vacant seat and found that there were conveniently two seats that were empty in the middle of the bus. Axel walked towards it, and carefully place (Y/n) on one of the seats.

Axel sighed in relief then sat down next to her. The bus began to move and this caused (Y/n) to whimper through tight straight lips.

"(L/n)-san..." Axel called out to (Y/n) as she began to lean onto the bus' floor.

"(L/n)-san!" he called out once again before catching her in his arms and placing her back up to her seat.

Most of class 1-A observed the two students quietly, but some of the others were openly curious as to what happened to the class president.

"Hey, what's happening with her?" asked Kaminari all of a sudden.

Axel raised one of his brows towards the blonde-haired student and blinked. He embarrassingly scratched his head noticing he forgot to thank the whole class for their hospitality.

"Thank you for giving us a ride back to the main building. And with her," Axel pointed to (Y/n). "Well, she got a severe case of motion sickness."

Kirishima looked over to (Y/n), "her motion sickness is something I've never seen before. Does this always happen when she rides the bus?"

Axel shook his head, "it happens every time she rides a vehicle."

The bus took a rough left turn and this caused a sickening groan from (Y/n). She quickly covered her mouth with one of her hands and grasped onto Axel's shirt. Axel began to rub circles behind (Y/n)'s back while sighing greatly.

"Was she always like this? Ribbit," asked Asui upon seeing how sensitive she was with the movements of the bus.

"I'm not so sure myself. One day she was fine riding buses, but now she even gets scared to ride one."

(Y/n) decided to move, wanting to place her head somewhere. Opening her eyes was a risk, so she decided not to and just lean on whoever was closest to her head. Axel stopped massaging (Y/n)'s back and observed her movements. And to Axel's surprise, and pretty much everyone who watched (Y/n), instead of leaning onto Axel, (Y/n) decided to lean over to the other seat and onto Todoroki.

The girls on the bus gave a quiet squeal.

"Get me off of this Axel-san," (Y/n) whimpered onto Todoroki's shoulder.

The boy sat still in shock of what was happening to him. His face wore a stoic expression, but his ears turned a bright red. Mineta, once again, bit his lips intensely as he watched the scene in front of him. "I should've sat there!" he complained.

That comment earned a dangerous glare from Axel and Mineta quickly shut his mouth with a gulp. Iida also looked over to Mineta then to Axel, "I'm truly sorry for his behaviour, I assure you I will straighten him out later."
