Narrator POV

THE NEXT DAY

It's concluded that no villain is wandering in UA's premises. Principal Nezu lifted everyone's house arrest and school continued normally as always. The sun gleamed beautifully on UA's main building, and everyone bustled about as if the lockdown was just a false alarm.

No one, except for the teachers, Bakugou, and one of UA's General Studies class knew the real reason. Those who wanted to tell the other classes what they had witnessed brushed it off as a mere rumour. No one believed those who wanted to spread the word of the real reason. Other students were very wary of them for causing more rumours, or simply thought they were making up useless idiotic rabbles. Bakugou even grew more irritated and sensitive after hearing more side comments.

No one, not even Kirishima, was able to make Bakugou talk. Midoriya is also very aware of how out of character it is for Bakugou to be deathly silent. Even though the day starts normally like every other school day, something is just off. Midoriya is not able to pinpoint why the day felt off, but from what he can detect, some people were being very wary of their surroundings; almost scared of other students who seem normal.

Bakugou arrived early to class today, being the first one to enter his class. He watched everyone take their seats but kept a close watch to the door expecting (Y/n) to enter. And when the bell rang and saw Aizawa-sensei enter the class to start the day, he could not help but stare off into space, just wondering where (Y/n) is. Bakugou became confused, not liking the sentiments that have settled in his stomach. Is it guilt? Bakugou's mind raced with thoughts of what he could have done that day.

Bakugou looked down to his desk and sighed deeply. The class listened to Aizawa-sensei's announcements in homeroom, but they did not expect for someone to sigh out of the blue. Everyone looked over to who did it and noticed Bakugou staring to his hands on his desk.

Aizawa called Bakugou, a bit irritated someone sighed loudly during his speech.

"Bakugou."

Bakugou did not hear it. All he could hear was those girls from the cafeteria talking to each other, asking about the rooftop.

"Bakugou?"

Bakugou gulped as his mind had another flashback of (Y/n) laying down on the hospital bed with new bandages. He clenched his fists, shaking unconsciously. All his classmates by now were very worried why Bakugou hadn't heard Aizawa or responded to him. Aizawa decided to walk towards Bakugou slowly with a sigh.

Aizawa stood over Bakugou's desk, expecting for him to finally notice but surprisingly he did not.

Bakugou's head had another flashback, still unaware that everyone is now staring at him in wonder. The looks the three I-Island students shot at him during the hospital visit kept staring at him in disappointment, making his body shake some more. And that's when Aizawa placed his hand on Bakugou's shoulder.

Bakugou immediately stopped shaking and looked to whoever touched him awake.

"If you aren't going to pay attention in class, then why did you bother even coming here?" Aizawa glared at Bakugou.

Bakugou shook off his teacher's hand off of his shoulder and quickly apologized.

The class became silent again and Bakugou shot his hands to his mouth, shocked that he apologized. Aizawa sighed again, then walked back to his podium. Present Mic informed him that Bakugou may know who have caused the injuries to (Y/n), and observing Bakugou's behaviour, it seems that Bakugou does know who did it.
