You braced it with your forearm, knowing it would be too late to dodge his attack. His tail karate-chopped your forearm with so much force that a crack resonated around the area.
"(L/N)-CHAN!" Kinoko screamed.
Dadan aimed his missiles at Ojiro and fired. You managed to throw Ojiro towards Dadan as you jumped away from your spot.
"That was close! If I hadn't dodged the missiles I would've been in that crater," you muttered to yourself in horror as you watched the fragment missiles hit the ground from afar.
The missiles flew directly where Ojiro stood. The sound of each one practically rigging in your ear as it zipped across the road. Ojiro tried his best to dodge Dadan's missiles but surprisingly the missiles aren't locked on him.
"Talk about OP!" Kinoko shouted gleefully.
Ojiro's surrounding was hit by multiple fragment missiles and left him holding his ears as they rang loudly against his eardrums. Where you stood a moment ago, is now in ruins as the road is cracked, jagged as if there was a major earthquake on that one spot.
"Ack! My ears feel like exploding!" he managed to grunt.
You ran towards Ojiro again where he crumpled in pain and turned him to his back but did not find a name tag. You were about to inform your classmates that Ojiro didn't have the name tag, but in the last second where they were standing numerous vines whipped both Dadan and Kinoko.
At that moment, you felt time slow down as you watched your teammates fly off to the other end of the road. Just like Ojiro's ears were ringing, yours started to ring too due to shock. You felt the ground rumble below you, snapping you out of your trance.
You jumped away from Ojiro and saw the cement below you crumbling as it followed where you were about to land.
"You can't dodge this mid-air!" Ibara suddenly shouted. You looked over to where the noise came from and saw her checking the backs of your teammates. Her other hand outstretched as she activated her quirk towards you again. You clenched your teeth and breathed in.
This was going to hurt.
You instantly twisted your upper torso and lower limbs to dodge Ibara's vines mid-air and the vine that suddenly came out from the ground. The move involved snapping one of your arms to where you wanted to manoeuvre your body to, but needed to be precise and in unison with your breathing pattern, or it will hurt.
"Kguhk!" you grunted in pain. You felt the air in your lungs tighten as if you were drowning. You hadn't used that move in a while, and even made the rookie mistake of using your already battered up arm. You held your arm in pain as you saw the evident shape of where Ojiro had previously attacked you.
You landed quite harshly on the cracked ground, successfully avoiding Ibara's vines.
"Khughk, this is one hell of a bruise," you muttered under your raspy breath.
You stood up slowly, watching Ibara slowly wrap your teammates with her vines.
"Immobilizing my teammates? How clever," you spoke to Ibara from afar.
"I'm just thankful I am able to pull off my fullest potential," she clasped her hands as a thank you.
You glared at her, but stopped in your tracks, "but you should've finished them off," you pointed out.
"What an impure thing to say—!"
"(L/n)-san! She doesn't have the name tag!" Dadan screamed cutting off Ibara's sentence.
