Third Person
A slam of a door could be heard upstairs. "Damn. Someone's touchy." Jeff said smirking. He knew he was an asshole but he couldn't care less. Ben rolled his eyes. He felt frustration rise in his gut but he didn't exactly know why. "I'd be nice to them if I were you. Max hates you enough as it is. So if you keep being rude to (Y/n) and giving them shit, Max will finally officially become your enemy and I think you already have enough of those." Ben said chuckling.

He finally turned off his game and set down the controller, turning his attention to Jeff. "Plus Slenderman has a huge interest in them. Toby seems to have already be-friended them.. In fact I don't mind (Y/n) either. They like video games." Jeff scoffed. He didn't like new people. Actually, he didn't like most people in general. He was contemplating on whether or not he should just ignore what Ben was saying.

Ben stood up and crossed his arms, anger flaring in Ben's empty looking eyes. He could tell Jeff wasn't taking this seriously. "What I'm trying to say is, shut up. And be nice to the new kid." He started walking away. "Or me and the people who care about them will make your pathetic life a living hell."

(Y/n)' POV
I absently stared into the vanity's mirror. Into my reflection. My lime green eyes sticking out like a sore thumb. Freak.

That single word echoed throughout my aching head, it was as if a hammer was pounding that word into my skull. Freak.

Am I really just another freak? Just like the rest of them? A freak?

I shook my head. Why am I letting this get to me? Does it really matter what some random cold blooded killer thinks? I sighed and ran my fingers through my dark hair.

I was suddenly snapped out of my thoughts by a knock. "Who is it?" I asked, reluctantly trudging over to the door. "It's Ben." Raising an eyebrow, I opened it. He was carrying a bunch of bags, but I couldn't tell what was in them. "Could I come in?" Confused, I nodded and moved out of his way. He quickly set down all of the bags on my bed. Smiling, he motioned me to come over. I suspiciously walked over to see what he wanted to show me.

To my surprise, they were filled with various art supplies. "We didn't know what medium you preferred so we just got a bunch.. if you want something else that you don't see in here, you could always go to Max. He also likes creating art." I smiled looking through the bags, excitement cursing through my veins. "Wow! Thank you so much!" He nodded. "Toby, Max, and I thought you'd like it. We figured that since you can't really go to that art college anymore, a bunch of art stuff is the next best thing."

Without really thinking, I gave him a huge hug. "This has honestly made my day." I said, pulling away. I couldn't believe they did this for me. I've only been here for a few days and I already feel more at home. "Oh! I also needed to tell you that all permanent and semi permanent residents need their name on the door. So that if a visitor comes they know that it's not occupied.. so uh.. you'll need to do that." I nodded, trying to calm down my excitement. Another piercing headache came to me and I rubbed my temples, groaning. Ben seemed a little concerned "You alright?"
"Yeah.. just a headache." I said, giving him a small smile. "I'm fine."

He nodded "Well uh.. I'll leave you alone now. If you need any of us, you know where to look." He started leaving. "Oh, and don't let Jeff get to you. He's an ass to everyone."

Ben's POV
I met back with Toby and Max telling them how happy (Y/n) was. "Good. After everything, they deserve it." Max said. I could tell there was something bothering him, but I figured it had something to do with Jeff.

I shifted the weight on my feet, a little nervous about (Y/n) as I thought about their headache. They're a good person, but a nagging thought in the back of my mind kept coming to my attention. What could that radioactive DNA really be doing to them and could it possibly turn them into a monster? Like how drowning turned me into one?

"So any more news on what that radiation stuff could be doing to (Y/n)?" I asked Max and Toby. "I'm just wondering because they got another headache while I was talking to them." They glanced at each other with worried looks. I could tell they were just as worried as I was. They looked back at me, Toby shaking his head. "Only t-time will tell I g-guess."
