(Y/n)'s POV
The day went by smoothly and I got to know some of the people I was going to live with. Turns out Jack was going to medical school so he's basically the mansion's doctor now. Ben is a huge Legend of Zelda fan and he died because his father had drowned him. What a dick father. Sally had a pretty dark past too and that's how she died, despite that, she still seemed pretty innocent.

Kate said that her first year or so as a proxy, was spent stuck in some mines. Tim and Brian's story, though, oh my. Their whole story is pretty interesting and most of it apparently was posted as a YouTube series called Marble Hornets. Brian doesn't talk much anymore but he was best friends with Tim before they became proxies. They were against Slenderman for the longest time until Brian died. Once he died, Tim begged for Slender to bring him back in exchange for their obedience. I kinda get where Tim is coming from, I would've done the same for Jamie. Toby, however, was the only proxy who seemed to come more willingly. Imagine that.

The only people I hadn't gotten to know much about was, well, Slenderman of course because he's very secretive.. but Max as well. In fact, he was still hiding away in his room so I haven't been able to talk to him. At that point I was starting to think he just didn't like me so I stormed up to his room to tell him off.

Third person
"Oh Maaaxxx!!" (Y/n) yelled out side of Max's room. He opened his door raising an eyebrow. "What do you want?" He said. He was wearing his mouth mask now, which surprisingly made him look pretty intimidating. "Don't 'what do you want' me mister. You haven't come out of your room all day and according to Toby, that's not like you so what is it? Do you not like me or something?!" He looked at (y/n), kinda shocked at their sassiness.

"No.. it's not that–"
"Then what is it?"
He looked down. "I'm not very good with new people." What he said was true. When he was human it was worse, but even now it's still hard. However, that's not the only reason he's been avoiding them. He didn't want to admit it, but (Y/n) intrigued him in a way that no one has before. Which made him afraid of getting too close to them.

"Well too bad! Since I'm gonna be living here for a while, I want to get to know you more." (Y/n) said crossing their arms. Max looked back up at them, it was like something had clicked inside of him. He checked the time and saw that, by now, the sun has gone down. "Okay. Fine. But I'm gonna take you somewhere special." He went into his room to grab a flashlight, then came back out. He gave it to her. "You'll need this until we get there." He said, smirking under his mask. "Wh-what? Where are we going?!" They said. "You'll see.."

And with that, Max left the mansion with (Y/n) reluctantly trailing behind.
