(Y/N) POV
I wiped my tear stained cheeks off and stood up, trying to act tough. "Who's Max? Who are you? What the hell happened to my town?" I said, my voice slightly shaky. I tried steadying it, and I tried to calm my shaky hands, but to no avail.
The shaggy haired male crossed his arms and I looked down to see bloody hatchets clipped to his pants. I took a step back. "I'm T-toby.. Max is a friend." He twitched a bit. "As for y-your town, the nuclear p-power plants blew up."
I looked back towards the town, tears welling up in my eyes again. 'The pain that Jamie must've been through..' I tried to muster up the little strength I had left to stop myself from crying again. "Why?" I chocked out. "Why did I survive?" A tear fell down my cheek and I quickly wiped it away. He shrugged. "We h-have an idea, don't kn-know for s-sure though." He started to casually walk away, as if he could care less. "F-follow me."
I hated being kept in the dark and that's exactly what this Toby guy was doing to me. "Who's we?" I asked following him. I wanted answers.
"That's c-classified."
"Who are you?!"
"I t-told you.."
"No, you told me you're name. I still don't know who the hell you are."
"I'm T-Toby."
I glared. "Why are you being so brooding and mysterious? Why aren't you telling me everything?! And why didn't your friend just come find me himself? Why is there frickin dried blood on your hatchets?!"
"Th-that's classified."
Uncontrollable range flowed through me, I've had enough. "I'm not going anywhere with you." I said turning around and started walking back to my town. My shoulders were suddenly pulled back. "Y-you don't have a ch-choice." I heard him say lowly as he turned me back around.
Suddenly, without thinking, I punched him in the face as hard as I could.
