Change for the better

Hunter called Dalton's family to come see that he was wake and okay.

He also mention the fact that Colton was a now official.

When his parents and sisters came, there were a lot of tears and hugs being thrown around.

While Dalton talked with his family, Cole stood by the other side of his hospital bed hold his left hand.

"So are you and Cole a couple now?" Sophie's voice piped up.

"Yeah," her brother and his boyfriend replied.

The doctor came in shortly saying that Dalton would stay there for three or so more days. If he kept his health up and took his meds then he could go back home in two days.

Before Dalton's family left they have him his phone so he could still talk to them and text Cole.
Sadly Cole had to go home.

On Monday Dalton and Cole came to school together, hands entwined. There were eyes on them immediately as the stepped out of Cole's car.

Dalton didn't know who to sit with anymore so he just trailed behind Cole shyly gripping his hand.

Cole sat down with his friends looking him oddly but not judgementally, while stood awkwardly behind him.

"C'mon Dalton. Just sit down, babe," Cole said as he pulled Dalton next to the seat beside him, while kissing his cheek.

Dalton didn't speak instead he just looked down at Cole's hand holding his. When suddenly Mel and Jess began speaking to him.

"Oh my god Dalton, we all know about this and what happened. We all forgave you and we were actually worried about you while you were in the hospital," Jess said trying to make him feel comfortable.

"And we're fine with everything. You and Cole make a pretty cute couple even. We won't bite." Mel said as Dalton looked at Cole with a slightly frightened and confused expression.

Dalton's original friends weren't mad at him and were very worried but didn't know how to him. He even ate lunch with them on Wednesday and Thursday.

Even though he wouldn't admit it he actually preferred eating lunch with Cole's friends.

Surprisingly enough Dalton was genuinely missed and love by his so called kingdom. Many students came up to him, timid and afraid, to tell him they were worried.

Cole's friend decided to have a New Years Eve party and said Dalton could also take some of his friends.

As the set up the count down to the New Year, Cole passed out some party poppers

Nick grabbed Jess by the waist and grabbed her chin.

Cole ran to the other side of the room and slid his hands around Dalton's neck. Dalton immediately wrapped his arms around Cole's waist and pulled him closer.

Nick brought his face closer to Jess' and sealed the space between them with a cute little kiss.

Cole dove for Dalton lips in the heat of the moment. With every new second Cole widened his mouth to deepen the kiss.

Cole only stopped there kiss when the room fell silent from its cheering roar and they heard Jess, and two of her other friends, Sam and Emma, Awwing.

Later on everyone gathered on the couch to cuddle up and watch a Christmas movie.

Cole was cuddling up into Dalton's chest. Jess was sitting next to Nick Sam and Emma were sharing, one of Emma's Christmas gift, a BBF blanket, Mel and Peter were sitting on Mel's huge beanie bag couch.

Eventually Cole fell asleep on Dalton's chest. You could say that it was the perfect start to a New Year.
