Colby woke up to the plane shaking.

Jolting up, he accidentally hit Corey with his arm, waking him up too.

"What?"

Corey asked, suddenly jumping up as well.

"Why's the plane shaking?"

He asked, looking at Colby with worry in his eyes.

"I don't know. I woke up to it shaking."

Colby replied.

The plane is going down. We hit a thunderstorm and the wing got struck by lightning.

The flight intendant said over the speakers.

"Shit!"

Corey yelled as the emergency breathing masks fell down.

Both boys grabbed them, putting them against their mouths.

The plane shot forward full speed.

Colby looked out the window, seeing the sky lower into the ocean.

He took one last look at Corey before they both flew back as the emergency door broke off.

The wind must have ripped the seats out of their spots.

Colby thought, not paying attention to Corey as he held onto the plane for dear life.

"Colby! Colby!"

Colby suddenly woke up again to Corey shaking him instead of the plane.

He looked at his friend, sweat and tears trickling his face.

"We're in Wichita and you were having another nightmare!"

Corey yelled, worry in his voice as he reached over and hugged the scared Colby.

"I-I'll tell you i-in the car."

Corey nodded, helping Colby up as he got their stuff out of their spots.

They walked out of the airplane and to the place where they had rental cars. (Idk. I'm just guessing. I've never been to an airport or ridden an airplane)

They went to the person at the little desk and got the keys to the car.

Walking to the Honda Civic they rented, Colby let out a little shudder as he replayed his dream in his head.

"You okay?"

Corey asked, noticing Colby's action.

The boy nodded, opening the door to the car as he walked up to it.

They got in and Corey started the engine.

"What happened?"

He asked, looking at Colby.

"W-we were in the plane and th-the plane s-started going down and the emergency door o-opened and broke. The wind r-ripped the seats from their spots and we f-flew out the door."

Colby said, crying as the memories came back.

"Hey. Hey. You're okay. We didn't fly out the plane. And guess what?"

Corey asked, reassuring Colby as he rubbed his back.

"What?"

"You get to see Sam!"

Colby's face lit up a little bit as a small smile grew on his face.

He nodded, looking at Corey.
