After Jake dropped off Kat, him and Sam headed to Sam's house.
Sam looked out the window the whole way to his house, wondering what the note said.
He hadn't read it yet since he basically had to run out the door right after his mom left.
"Sam. Sam!"
Jake yelled, tapping his shoulder.
"Yeah?"
Sam asked.
"We're here. You good, bro?"
"Yeah. Just thinking. Bye."
Sam answered, stepping out of the car.
"Hey. You sure?"
Jake said, stopping Sam in his tracks.
"Yeah. I'm good. See you later."
He shut the door and walked to his house.
Noticing his mom wasn't back yet, he got worried.
She works at the pharmacy, and since it's a Sunday, they close early.
He took out his phone and called her.
"Yes?"
She asked, trying not to laugh.
"Where are you? Are you laughing at me?"
Sam said, setting his bag down on the counter.
"Oh. I'm at the bar with my coworkers having a couple of drinks. And no. I'm not laughing at you."
Sighing, Sam walked out the door and towards the meadow.
"Are you lying to me? It doesn't seem very loud on your end."
He was concerned knowing his mom doesn't drink often unless she has a lot on her mind.
"No. It's Reggie's birthday and we're celebrating."
Reggie was Jake's older brother and he worked with Sam's mom.
"Ok..."
"Well, I'll be at the meadow when you get home. Love you."
"Okay, sweetie. Love you too."
After hanging up the phone, Sam made it to the meadow.
As he laid down onto the ground, he closed his eyes, listening to the birds sing their melodies.
Within a couple of minutes, he was woken up by a rustling noise in the grass.
He shot up from his laying position, looking around.
There was a figure not even ten feet in front of him.
"Hello?"
The blonde said, slowly backing up.
"Hey, Sammy."
The voice replied, walking towards him.
Sam recognized the tone, not believing himself, but asking anyway.
"C-Colby?"
The person nodded, their face being more visible.
They walk closer, the sun's rays glaring off of their face.
Sam's jaw dropped as he saw who it was.
"I-it's you."
He said, walking towards them.
"Yep. It's me."
"Oh, how I've missed you."
Sam ran up to him, jumping into his arms.
"I've missed you too."
The person said, wrapping his arms fully around Sam as he put his chin on his shoulder.
"Colby?"
Sam asked, pulling back to look at him.
"Yeah?"
The brunette said, looking at Sam.
"I still love you."
That's what did it for Colby.
He pulled Sam closer, connecting their lips.
Sam instantly kissed back, wrapping his arms around Colby's neck.
Colby lifted Sam up and wrapped his legs around his own body.
After a few moments, they pulled away, trying to catch their breaths.
Sam put his forehead against Colby's, hands still wrapped around his neck.
"I'll never leave you again, Sam."
Colby said, moving his hands to hug Sam.
"I hope not."
Sam pulled Colby closer, kissing him again.
They kissed for a few more seconds before Sam jumped down and let go of Colby.
He then sat down, grabbing Colby's hand and pulling him down beside him.
Colby sat down and laid back, watching the stars slowly appear.
Sam started at Colby, admiring him as he didn't want him to leave again.
"I love you, Colbs."
Colby looked over at Sam, smiling.
"I love you too, babe."
Sam's heart warmed at that name.
"And you pinky promise you won't leave again?"
He asked, reaching his pinky finger out.
Colby looked down at it, his mouth turning up into another smile.
"I pinky promise."

So, I'm sorry it's wayyy shorter than usual, but this is the best spot I could think of to end. I was thinking, after this book finishes of course, that I might write a sequel. Should I? Comment in the comments if I should. Byeeeeee.
