Everything was okay when Colby went upstairs.

Then I heard a thud.

And another.

And another.

They became more rapid, so I went to the staircase.

I froze as I saw Colby laying there on the cold hard ground, blood pouring from his head.

"Colby!"

I yelled, almost falling over the Twister box.

Tears swelled in my eyes as I saw him basically lifeless.

A lump formed in my throat as the sobs came out of my mouth.

I tried to control my breathing, but it wouldn't.

"Colby! Colby!"

The sobs covered my voice.

"What's going on?"

I heard from behind me.

Turning around, I see everyone standing behind me.

"Someone call 911! Colby fell and there's blood everywhere!"

Everyone started scrambling around as they went to grab a phone.

I turned back to see Colby's eyes slowly start to shut.

"No! Don't close your eyes, Colby! Please stay awake! An ambulance is on its way!"

My cries came faster and faster.

"Out of the way!"

I heard someone yell somewhere around me.

Not even moving, I just wrapped my arms around my knees and cried.

I watched the EMTs put Colby on a stretcher and wheel him out the door, so I got up and walked outside.

"Is anyone riding in the ambulance?"

One asked, looking towards me.

I didn't even realize until I turned a little bit that the whole group was around me.

"I will."

I walked over to the vehicle and got into the back.

There Colby sat on the stretcher, barely breathing.

I intertwined my fingers with his when I sat on the long seat beside him.

"Please be okay, Colby. Please."

I could've sworn that I felt his hand move, but I was still hysterical, so I didn't think anything of it.

One of the people got in with us and grabbed an oxygen mask, putting it on Colby.

"How's he doing?"

I asked, not even thinking they probably didn't know.

"Well, from what I could see, he has a big gash on his head and some scrapes, but we'd have to wait until we got to the hospital to know for sure."

I nodded and thanked him.

"The doctors will be asking what happened and it's protocol for us to ask also, so how did it happen?"

He asked, holding the mask to Colby's face.

"Our friend group was going to play Twister and he went to his room to get it and I think he fell down the stairs. I just heard a loud thud and saw him on the floor."

He nodded.

A couple of seconds later we were at the hospital.

The driver got out and opened the big doors.

"Okay, we'll have to be careful that we don't hurt him anymore, so we'll have to watch for bumps and other things like that."

He said, grabbing the stretcher by the bar and gently pulling it out of the ambulance.

The other man let me out first and then he got out, shutting the doors.

They carefully wheeled him into the ER and past the swinging doors, but I don't know where they went after that because I had to stay out in the waiting room.

I just sat in an empty seat, waiting for everyone else to get there.

It seemed like forever though it was only ten minutes.

They all walked through the door at the same time.

"Sam."

I heard Devyn say as she basically ran towards me.

She jumped into my arms, crying.

"What happened?"

Jake asked, walking over.

"I don't know. I just remember Colby going upstairs and then hearing loud thuds, so I ran to the staircase, and I found him laying on the floor in a puddle of his blood."

He nodded, pushing his long bangs out of his face like Colby does.

"We should probably sit down since we're going to be here for a while."

I agreed, so we found other seats to sit in.

The ER was basically empty except us and two or three other people.

Devyn was still crying against me, so I was trying to comfort her and the other girls were helping each other.

I started to feel drowsy as my head sat on top of Devyn's while she cried into my shoulder.

I felt someone else sit beside me, but I didn't know or care who it was.

I just wanted Colby back.

Closing my eyes, I fell asleep instantly.

Huh.

I must've been really tired, being in an uncomfortable hospital chair.

Either way, I had the weirdest dream I had ever had before.

Hehe. Double update, aye?
I might even write another chapter, but I don't know yet, so tell me what you think in the comments. I don't think you guys will like the ending, but I wouldn't be considered a writer if I didn't have a plot twist in my story. Anyway, hope you enjoyed. Adios, bitches.✌️
