Pretension

"You know I'm not that bad, right?" Biglang sambit ni Storm.

"You expect me to believe that?"

"You already did. You're inside my car, Venice." Humalakhak siya.

"You trusted an Inquierdo. That makes you dangerous and untrustworthy." Seryosong saad ko.

"Says the one who didn't ask help to an Inquierdo." He said sarcastically. One side of his lips rose. "I can have the label, but you may give your attention to him, just saying." Maarteng sabi niya.

Napa-ayos ako ng upo saka sinalubong ang panaka-nakang tingin niya. Is he serious?

"We might get caught."

"Wala naman sa usapang hindi ka pwedeng mag-entertain ng ibang lalaki. He said that I should be your boyfriend but that's just it. People cheat." Seryosong saad niya.

Huminga ako nang malalim. He's right. And if I do cheat, it's nothing. In the first place, we don't love nor like each other. I can't believe it's even considered as cheating when we both know that we're just acquaintances. Sometimes, an Inquierdo's mind is trickier than a maze. Even though you try to escape a lot of times, you'll find yourself in another deadend.

"I don't know the real reason why you're forced into this but I think you're not that bad. Just ugly." I said which was an obvious lie. But I'm not a fan of sweet words so everyone around me should deal with that.

Hindi ako tuluyang humarap sakanya. Instead, I used the rearview mirror and caught him looking at me through it too. I rolled my eyes which made him laugh.

Hindi na kami nag-usap pagkatapos noon. Namalayan ko nalang na nasa school na ako at pababa na nang may bigla siyang kunin mula sa back seat na ikinataka koz

"A school bag?" I asked, curious as though why he would bring one.

Tinaasan niya ako ng kilay. "What do you think of me? A delinquent that doesn't study?"

Umawang ang bibig ko. I didn't know that he's still a student. Sa lakas ng dating niya ay makukumpara mo pa ito sa dating ni Zeus which is also a student but has a better body built- probably because of all the work he does. While Storm looks like he's man-made.

"Ah... perhaps you also don't know that I study here too?" He concluded.

I suppressed my shock. He studies here? Well, that's unusual! If he's a schoolmate, with this features and built, I should have known! He would have passed as one of the popular kids!

Umiling nalang ako bago lumabas- ayaw nang madagdagan ang usapan dahil tinatamad na. Nagulat naman ako dahil nakaka-ilang hakbang palang ako ay naramdaman ko na ang presensya niya sa tabi ko. I rolled my eyes.

"If you'll follow me like a dog again, I swear you will only look like an accessory of mine- not a boyfriend." Paglilinaw ko rito.

"Well, if you want my hand all over your waist instead of this..-"

I stopped to face him. "Subukan mo." Inis kong sambit.

Hindi ko na pinansin ang pagsunod niya sa akin na akala mo'y isang pulis na minamasdan ang suspect. I rolled my eyes. I can't believe I'm in this mess. I'm a Calliego!

Nang pumasok na ako sa room ay laking ginahawa ko nang mawala na rin siya. It was like that until recess came. I can't believe I'm annoyed that it's our break already. I don't want to see that guy's face!

At tama nga ang hinala ko. When I went to the cafeteria, I saw him looking around. Umirap ako. Ganoon ang eksena sa isang buong araw ko sa school. I wanted to relax afterwards so when the bell hit, I immediately called my driver.
