Accusation

Wren Vale Inquierdo worked fast. Sa kasunod na araw ay usap usapan na na nagnakaw si Serena. It is still under investigation but I doubt that the accusation will be void.

I looked down. This is it. But why am I not happy? I should be.

"I am not guilty of this crime! Please, maawa po kayo sa akin. Wala po akong ginagawang masama!" A crying Serena still wearing her working clothes made me bite my lip.

I am in a resort where investigations are happening. Kanina ay nakita ko rin si Wren na binigyan lamang ako ng saludo bago nawala.

Kaninaay tinignan ang CCTV footage. I was amazed with how it turned out. It really looked like Serena stole something! Bilang workey ay alam niya ng CCTV cameras at ang range nito at ang pwesto ng nagsabing nanakawan ay nasa may tagong parte. Iisipin na halatang iniwasan niya ang camera para gawin ang nais.

My Mommy looked so disappointed as she looked at Serena.

"I can't believe I even gave you a chance when you showed up drunk during the interview." Mommy shook her head.

"Ma'am, please! I didn't!"

"Nandito na ang ebidensiya, Miss. humanap ka nalang ng abogado. Kailangan rin naming i-search ang tinutuluyan mo."

Napatingin ako roon. Does she still live with Zeus?

"Kuya! Wala akong pambayad sa abogado! Please lang po, bigyan niyo ako ng hustisya! You can't base everything just because of that logic!"

"At paano mo naman maipapaliwanag ang gold bracelet sa locker mo?"

"I don't know! Maybe they set me up!"

"How dare you!" My Mommy raged. Natigilan lahat sa pagsigaw ni Mommy. I wanted to call Daddy right then and there. Never anger my Mother. "Don't ever come back here, thief!"

Humagulgol si Serena.

"Wala po akong ginagawang masama!" She screamed, wanting so much for someone to listen to her.

Zeus isn't here. For some reason, he's in a day off. Mabuti nalang at hindi niya ito nasaksihan.

Serena was brought by the police with her hands behind her, enclosed with handcuffs. It made me sick watching that soulful event but it didn't bother me, I think.

Further investigations were held. She was accused more and more as time passes by. She had also been accused of stealing from other people.

"All rise. The court is now in session, the honorable Judge Atty. Gregory Altagracia presiding." The bailiff stated.

We rose before the judge spoke.

"Please be seated. Please, call the case." The judge ordered.

The bailiff nodded before continuing, "Criminal Case Number ******, entitled People of the Philippines versus Serena Gomez, now comes for hearing."

"Counsels make your appearance."

"Your Honor, my name is Atty. Lazelei Clemente and I am representing the People of the Philippines in this case."

"Your Honor, my name is Atty. Gale Sy and I am representing the Accused in this case."

Formalities and introductory statements were delivered before they called Serena. Serena's eyes were puffy and her nose runny as she roamed her eyes around the court room. Her eyes stopped when she found me, anger is written all over her face.
