Not Ready

Nang umalis ang babae ay napabuntong hininga nalang ako. My sight traveled towards the dungeon they brought me into. For some reason, this dungeon has a a larger space and not-so rough rocks covering the place from civilisation. But I know better than to create another hole. This place looks more advance than the other cells although they have the same means to open the metal door. Ang alam ko ay bilang lang na empleyado ang may susi at apat lamang ang kayang bumukas at magsara nito nang walang susi. That includes Wren, Xyrll, The old and the young Inquierdo. I really want to know why Wren, of all people? Why does he have this kind of power among these evil people?

Tumitig ako sa metal na pintuan, matindi ang pagpapanalanging pumunta si Zeus kahit na medyo malabo. Kaya kahit ilang oras na akong nakatingin roon ay pakiramdam ko'y naduling lang ako.

A day passed by like a blur. The man with Zeus yesterday enters almost every meal time to give me my meal. Pagkatapos ay kukunin lang din niya iyon paalis. Nawawalan na ako ng gana at pag-asa na makita pang muli si Zeus kaya sa ipinangakong huling pag-asa sakanyang pagbabalik ay nadismaya lamang rin nang ibang lalaki ang pumasok.

Wren Vale's jet black eyes bore into me. Tila may galit iyon habang tinitignan ako ngunit pilit na itinatago. I sighed. I never thought I'll find myself not getting used to glares.

"What?" Mapait kong tanong.

He walked towards me, formulating an evil smirk when his eyes says otherwise.

"What's with you?" Balik tanong nito.

I raised a brow and stood up. I didn't want to feel like a sore loser while talking wih him. If I can't find anyone to blame but myself, I know I will explode. He partook in these twist of events, he made this happen. He took advantage of my trust and vulnerability.

"You wanted this to happen." I started.

Tumigil siya. His smirk slowly faded.

"Well, I did plan him hating you and Storm." He then looked up and when his eyes went back to me, a fiery glare pierced through my skin, "But not this. Not you in my motherfucking cell." Malutong nitong pagmumura.

I almost stepped back as he walked closer.

Kahit hindi ko alam ang ibigsabihin niya ay pinilit kong magpakatatag. I raised my chin to face him.

"Well, not everything go your way."

He inhaled sharply as he looked at me. Unti-unti ay nanlaki ang mata niya na tila may napapagtanto.

"Damn it." He cussed like he's screwed, "Son of a bitch." He added as if all curses aren't enough to express the stupidity of what he thought.

His fist went up. Noong una ay akala ko'y tatama iyon sa mukha ko ngunit tumama iyon sa pader na bato sa aking likod. I gasped.

"What are you cussing about?"

Tinignan niya ako nang masama, "I will end this shit, Calliego. This place has no room for a motherfucking love!" He raged before he left.

Nagtataka man ay hinayaan ko nalang. Slowly, I breathed out loud and sat back down. Napatingin ako sa aking braso nang mapansin ang marka nito mula sa pagkakahila sa akin ni Zeus kahapon. Yesterday, it was just a purple mark but today, it darkened. Hindi na ako nagtangkang hawakan iyon at pumikit na lamang.

Nang magbukas ang pinto muli ay hindi na ako nag-abalang tumingin. All my hope of seeing him again vanished but once the wind blew, a familiar scent rushed through my nose.

My eyes automatically opened as it scanned the man in front from bottom to top. Habang pataas nang pataas ang tingin ko ay parang nakikitilan ako ng hininga hanggang sa umabit ito sa kanyang labi, sa ilong hanggang sa mata. My eyes were captured by his as he stared at me. His eyes were weary as if telling me that it had just fought a battle he lost.
