When I came to pain shot through my arm causing me to groan "Don't move." A woman quickly ordered. I tried to lay still but the pain was too much. Sobs escaped my mouth as I shifted around "C-Call Rayne!" The woman ordered suddenly holding me down by my shoulders "She's in too much pain. I can't even imagine the pain she is going through." The woman added breathing heavily from having to hold me down.
I continued to shift and cry until I felt tingles run up my hurt arm. I looked over to see the most handsome man holding my hand "Please try to stay still..." He rubbed my hand with his thumb as he said it giving me a sad expression.
The pain wasn't as bad anymore with him holding my hand now allowing the woman, which looking at her clothes I assumed was the doctor, to do her job. My eyes were stuck on him... He was pure perfection. He was built and tall with beautiful brown orbs... I didn't realize I was staring until I realized he was looking the same way at me.
My cheeks flushed and I looked away nibbling on my bottom lip "There stitched it up, her wolf will do the rest." The doctor assured looking at both of us then smiling "Hello I am Dr. Ross." She introduced herself and I felt myself grow sad because I knew I wouldn't be able to respond. I took my hand away from my mate's and intertwined my own hands fiddling with my fingers.
I kept my attention on my hands as though it was the most interesting thing in the world "This is Sierra and she can't speak." My mate muttered over at the doctor his words warning "Oh my, can I check on your throat?" She asked causing me to shrug a shoulder.
She stood from the stool she was seated at and took that Popsicle stick and motioned for me to open my mouth.I obeyed and stuck my tongue out, she scrunched her eyebrow in confusion and stepped back and looked at me "There's nothing wrong with your throat." She pointed out the moment Clara and Marshall walked in "It's physiological." Clara spat angrily rushing to me and pulling me into a tight hug. I winced and she quickly pulled away "Sorry, but goodness are we relieved you're okay!" Clara mumbled taking my hand "Alpha Rayne." Marshall suddenly said causing my eyes to land on my mate... His name is Rayne, and he's the alpha?
My eyes widened and Rayne quickly smiled "What do we owe the visit to?" Marshall asked as he looked at me then back at him "Your sister is my mate." Rayne informed my heart racing as he said the words. Clara's jaw dropped as she looked at him then back at me "Oh my god I am so happy for you!" Clara yelped hugging me tightly.
I smiled wide but winced as she hurt my arm "Sorry, sorry! Just so excited for you, having a mate is such an amazing thing." Clara explained but when I looked at Marshall I could see the anger as he looked at Rayne "She doesn't need someone like you in her life." Marshall spat angrily.
Rayne quickly tensed his eyes converting from his beautiful brown ones to pitch black ones "Marshall." Clara stood from her leaning position and looked at him then at Rayne "I know you're strong, but he's an alpha... Don't challenge him. He's a lot stronger then you." Clara reminded.
My eyes were stuck on Rayne once again... But this time out of fear, no I didn't fear him just didn't like this side of him. His eyes didn't hold a care in the world but the dark truth behind his wolf... He could take a life as easily as he could help save one.
