Sierra's POV
When I woke up the next morning I felt extremely sore. Rayne's left arm draped over my naked stomach as he laid on his side, his right arm substituted for a pillow as it extended out and my head laid on it. I blushed at the memories of last night and I smiled to myself as I snuggled into his chest.
I began to drift off again but we both woke up from a knock at the door "I'll get it." Rayne assured in his raspy sleeping voice. I sat up and covered myself with the blanket as he slid on his boxers and sweat and sweat pants. I watched as he walked over to the door and opened it halfway so whoever was behind the door couldn't see me, I couldn't hear the person behind the door but I could hear Rayne respond to them "Yes a pack meeting in an hour. Announce it." He nodded and closed the door. I felt sadness as I realized it was about that boy who was found at the gates. Rayne must have noticed my expression because he sat beside me and wrapped an arm around me and pulled me to his side "I will straighten all of this out and make sure nobody gets hurt anymore." He assured kissing the side of my head and sighing as I simply looked down at my hands "Why would Mark do something so... Cruel?"
I questioned looking up at Rayne as he tensed and shook his head "His father was also a cruel man. He had betrayed my father a long time ago. He had informed some humans that we were werewolves and gave them proof." Rayne explained my eyes widening. Why would he do such a thing?"My uncle fell in love with my mother." He gritted his teeth and it all seemed to fall into place from there "He was the person your mom sneaked out to see..." I mumbled Rayne nodding and lowering his head "Little did she know after she returned uncle Ray got so angry with her... He set her up. Told us that if he couldn't have her nobody could." He explained further my heart aching. No wonder Rayne had such anger issues... I grabbed his hand and shook my head "Don't tell me Mark is trying to do the same thing and just used my dad as an excuse to see how I looked like..." I whispered Rayne growling, it caused me to flinch but I maintained a hold on his hand.
"I dare him to try." He spoke venomously and I leaned up kissing his cheek "I know you wouldn't let anything happen." I assured. After calming him down we took a nice shower and I dressed down while he dressed for the meeting. I put on some blue hollister leggings, a black tank top with a black sweater and some warm flip flops. Rayne put on a long sleeved black shirt with jeans and sneakers "I'll fill you in after." He assured giving me a quick kiss before walking out.
I pulled my hair up into a messy bun and made my way down stairs to see April giggling with Marshall at the dinning table "Morning." April wiggled her eyebrows and I rolled my eyes as a blush went up my cheeks "Ew." Marshall scoffed and me and April giggled "I will be back in about an hour. The meeting is starting early." Marshall explained pecking Aprils lips then kissing my cheek. I sat beside April and she shook her head "Torturing little kids..." She placed her cup of coco on the table unable to drink "Disgusting." I finished off and she nodded in agreement
"Come on, let's go to Clara's." She stood and grabbed her jacket. We walked out and I smiled as it felt a lot colder "Winter season is near." April informed clapping her hands "My favorite season!" She exclaimed causing me to giggle "Mine to." I admitted continuing to walk beside her towards the car.
We drove over to Clara's and she was preparing some hot chocolate "I feel a cold going on." Clara whined as she leaned against the kitchen counter beside the stove waiting for the hot chocolate to be done "Aww poor thing." April pouted and jumped on top of the counter beside her "Oh my god Sierra, is that a mark?" Clara questioned and I quickly pulled my sweater over my neck slightly embarrassed. Great, this was going to be the topic of the day.
