What was I suppose to do?
I couldn't do much so I just stood there watching him. His chest rumbled for a good minute before a growl escaped his lips. It caused me to flinch but I remained my ground. I wouldn't be afraid of him "Go!" He yelled punching the wall right beside my face.

Once again I flinched but made sure not to move. I gave him a sad expression and shook my head "So damn stubborn." He muttered before turning his back to me and rubbing the back of his neck.

I sniffled and he quickly turned at the sound "Don't cry I'm sorry." He quickly apologized and pulled me into a hug "You just... Scared me." He admitted my eyes widening at his words. He got scared? I didn't know much about him but he just didn't seem like a person to get scared.

I nodded and snuggled into his arms causing him to let out a relieved sigh "Why did you wake me up?" He asked stroking my hair. I nibbled on my bottom lip and stepped away from him pointing at the bed "Is the bed uncomfortable?" He asked causing me to shake my head...

After a couple seconds he raised an eyebrow "You want me to sleep with you?" I cringed at his choice of words and he quickly rephrased it "You want me to lay with you? No sexual contact just lay down." He reworded his words and the mention of sex with him...

I quickly nodded and he smiled "Yeah of course." I can't lie, I was so nervous as I lied down and he laid down beside me. Although it was awkward for a couple minutes that soon went away and I was able to close my eyes and sleep soon started to come over me.

I slept like a damn baby that night. I was woken up by a loud banging coming from the door. I groaned and snuggled deeper into the most comfortable object in my life... My eyes shot open and I looked up to see Rayne.

One of his arms was draped over my stomach while the other was under my head substituting for a pillow. He groaned as the banging at the door grew louder "Marshall you can't just barge in there!" A voice yelled and I quickly shot up causing Rayne to place an assuring hand on my back as he sat up with me.

He growled lowly while looking at the door and I quickly took his hand shaking my head “What’s his problem.” He mumbled standing and putting on a shirt that I didn’t even realize he took off. My cheeks quickly flushed and I stood to make my way to the door when I heard Rayne growl and I quickly turned to him giving him a stern look “I won’t rip his head off, I promise.” He assured smirking as I squinted my eyes at him not really believing him.

I opened the door anyways and there was… a very pissed off Marshall. He grabbed my wrist but before he could try to walk me out Rayne’s growl held him in place “I promised her I wouldn’t rip your head off, but if you don’t take your hands off her…” He trailed off as I turned around and looked into his now pitch black eyes “I’ll tear you to pieces.” He finished his sentence and I could tell he was serious.

I took my hand away from Marshall and gave him a pleading look “Your guard said she’d have her own room.” Marshall pointed out through gritted teeth “She was in her own room, but she had a nightmare so I brought her here.” Rayne explained Marshall scoffing “She didn’t have to be with you, maybe all she wanted to do was go home!” Marshall exclaimed causing my heart to ache because it wasn’t true…

As much as Marshall thought he knew what I wanted… He just didn’t. I felt understood and happy here and it’s only been a day. I didn’t want to leave… At least not yet.
