I looked at the package of noodles and scrunched up my eyebrows as I turned to Rayne "What is Fettuccini noodles?" I asked causing him to given me a shocked expression "Only the best noodles in the world." He spoke to me as if I should know what it is.
I couldn't help giggling at his expression "Oh babe you have to try it it's so amazing!" He spoke excitedly "Do you make it the same way as any other pasta?" I questioned causing him to smirk "How about I cook the pasta and you worry about well... everything else." He mumbled chuckling as I raised an eyebrow to him but shrugged "It's obviously the best I'm going to get out of you so fine." I mumbled giggling as he gasped pretending to be hurt.
He smiled and pecked my lips before we got to cooking. I cut the skinless, boneless, chicken breast into cubes and set them in a bowl. I looked over at Rayne as he set a large pot of water onto the stove and added salt. I smiled at the sight.. He was so adorable. He caught me staring and I suddenly got shy as I looked away and down at the food.
He smirked and continued putting the Fettuccini pasta in the pot and leaned against the counter "Your turn, you got the hard parts." He chuckled as I smacked my teeth at him and ignored him. I grabbed a skillet and placed it on the stove adding a spoon of butter and allowing it to melt before I began to saute the chicken.
Rayne stood up and put the pasta into a strainer then into a sauce pan. Once I was sure the chicken was done I put them in the same pot. I tried to open the Alfredo sauce can but I groaned as I completely failed. Rayne chuckled and came from behind me reaching over and grabbing it from my hand...
For a moment we stopped moving and just looked at each other for a long second. I nibbled on my bottom lip as my eyes settled on his... I was pulled back to the world when his lips spread into a smile "You're always staring at me.." He pointed out causing me to blush and shrug a shoulder "You are my boyfriend. I can't stare at you?" I asked without thinking.
When I realized what I had just said my cheeks turned a bright red and I turned my back at him. He chuckled and leaned down kissing my cheek "You're right love." He assured before popping the Alfredo sauce cap off and spilling it into the sauce pan. I ushered him away and began to stir it until it was ready.
After it was done I turned to Rayne "Go sit, please you been up for awhile. I don't want you to hurt your side." I admitted causing him to nod. I served us our plates and brought them to the table which luckily it was just us "Water, soda, or juice?" I questioned causing him to think "I'm feeling some soda right now." He answered starting to grub into the food.
I smiled and made my way back into the kitchen and placed two glasses on the island counter before turning to the fridge and grabbing some coca cola and pouring it into the two glasses.
I walked back into the dining room and placed one glass in front of Rayne and the other in front of my plate. I sat down beside him and I started eating "You made it just like my mom..." He mumbled suddenly my eyes widening as I looked over at him. He smiled and looked down at the plate "This was her favorite food to. She would make this more then anything." He chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck as he looked back at me.
I felt my heart race as I looked at him "It's my mothers favorite food to." I admitted. Doesn't the moon goddess just have her ways of bringing people together. She was absolutely amazing.
