Rayne's POV
I looked around at the pack members after the man walked out "What are we going to do?" Marshall was the firs to speak up. I let out a breath and shook my head "I have a feeling we'll have to bring war to them before they hit home." I admitted everyone hesitant but eventually nodded "Again we will triple the security and everyone keep their eyes and ears open." I assured but even I was nervous.
I rubbed the back of my neck and felt uneasy as I started to think of the things Mark would do to Sierra... Ian must have caught on and set his hand on my shoulder "I will make sure the guards are in their places, and the security is tripled. You go find Sierra." He assured causing me to nod. I walked out after excusing myself and went up to our bedroom to see... She wasn't there.
I rushed down stairs and found that she wasn't in he pack house "Relax, she's probably at Clara's." Marshall assured coming from behind me and setting his hand on my shoulder. I nodded and rushed out of the pack house and to my car. I drove recklessly but who cared? I didn't I just wanted to get to Sierra as soon as I could. I felt relieved when I spotted April's car parked in front of Clara's house.
I got out and approached the door knocking "Oh hey Rayne." Clara greeted me and stepped back holding the door open so I could enter. I followed Sierra's scent into the kitchen and I smiled as I watched her pour nutella on some kind of balls "Oreo balls." April raised an eyebrow and I made a confused expression "Oreo balls?" I repeated causing Sierra to pout and whine "I saw it on a website! Stop criticizing them before trying them." I chuckled at her little fit and I made my way to her and setting my hands on her waist "I think they're... Creative." I shrugged a shoulder and laughed as she smacked her teeth and ushered me away and taking an Oreo ball and popping it in her mouth.
She savored it and made a satisfying expression "These are actually good." She admitted causing April to grab one and eat it. April gave Sierra a shocked expression before speaking "These are actually good." She admitted eating two more before Sierra giggled "Did I just hear you say Sierra's Oreo balls were good?" Clara questioned as she entered the kitchen and grabbed on. Once Clara admitted they were good I decided to try one.
It took me by surprise but they were actually good "I am impressed." I admitted Sierra smiling proudly "See everyone doubted my Oreo balls." She snapped her fingers and we all continued to eat them. Once we were done April looked at me and raised an eyebrow "How'd the pack meeting go?" She asked curiously causing me to tense. I shrugged a shoulder and turned to the fridge opening it and grabbing the bottle of soda "Don't avoid the question." Sierra demanded causing me to groan.
I set the bottle on the counter and looked at her "A man walked in, in the middle of the meeting." I mumbled looking at Sierra as she crossed her arms snuggling into her sweater "A man? What did he say?" Clara asked sounding concerned. I let out a sigh and looked over at her "He informed us that Mark has created his own pack filled with rouges, criminals, and prisoners. This man was one of the prisoners." I paused as Sierra's eyes watered and I moved so I was standing in front of her "We don't have to talk about this right now Sierra." I pointed out April and Clara nodding but Sierra quickly shook her head "No, I have to know." She nodded and wiped her eyes as she blinked and the tears she was trying to hold back escaped and slid down her cheeks "He was sent by Mark to deliver a message..." I trailed off and watched as Sierra closed her eyes almost as if she knew what I was about to say
"That he wanted my Luna..." I mumbled before Sierra pushed me aside and walked out of the kitchen. I let out a breath and turned to April and Clara as they gasped and shook their heads "Why?" Clara asked causing me to sigh "Long story short, he's trying to recreate something his father tried to do.
His pack... Isn't really a pack without a powerful Luna and Sierra..." I trailed off and April nodded "Sierra proved that." She finished off and Clara quickly ran her hand through her hair as she started to cry "You have to do something Rayne." Clara demanded and I nodded "I'm on it okay?" I assured "Let me check on her.." I mumbled walking passed Clara and out of the kitchen. Mark wouldn't have her... I'd be dead before he takes her away from me.
