I sniffled and that's what triggered Rayne. I gasped as Rayne shifted into his black wolf and Marshall did the same. Before I could stop them they went into a brawl which led them to stumble down the stairs.
I rushed down the stairs passed pack members that wanted to figure out what was going on. I watched as Rayne was now hovering over Marshall showing all teeth as he growled but he stopped and looked at me.
I quickly rushed to him but before I could get to him Marshall stood and shoved Rayne off Marshall's large body bumping into me causing me to stumble back and fall. My shoulder hit a dining room chair in the process and I winced catching Marshall's attention "Sierra I-I'm" before he could finish speaking Rayne's powerful growl caused the house to shake and I quickly stood standing in front of Marshall "Sierra move!" Rayne warned yelling at me.
I flinched but stood my ground shaking my head "You're so damn stubborn!" He exclaimed his body trembling as he stood straight from being crouched in his fighting posture. Everyone seemed surprised he was calming down and I looked back at Marshall my shoulders falling "I'll leave." He mumbled before running out.
I let out a breath and ran my hand through my hair turning back to Rayne who groaned "You don't have to say a word to know I'm in trouble." He mumbled causing me to roll my eyes and cross my arms.
I walked upstairs Rayne following close behind "He was upsetting you Sierra." He explained but I simply ignored him. He broke his promise "I did not break my promise; I didn't rip his head off did I?" Rayne pointed out and I smacked my teeth before turning around to see he was back in his human form and he was... naked...
I quickly turned back around my cheeks flushing at the embarrassment. He chuckled and after a second I felt hands on my waist. I turned and thankfully he put on sweats "I'm sorry... I shouldn't have attacked him like I did. But Sierra he was going to make you cry." He explained his grip on my waist tightening as his eyes started to darken again.
I nodded and snuggled into him "Seeing you upset bothers me a lot Sierra." He admitted stroking my hair. He pulled away slightly to look down at me "We still have one thing to look forward to." He pointed out smiling as I scrunched my eyebrows up in confusion "You still want to go to the woods?" He asked and I quickly nodded and smiled causing him to chuckle at my eagerness "Then you have to forgive me." He gave me a smirk as I glared at him "I mean the woods, how can you miss an opportunity like that?" He taunted shrugging a shoulder "I wouldn't." he admitted placing his hand on his chest indicating himself.
I rolled my eyes and nodded "You can't stay mad at me anyway." He pointed out, it was true, and I couldn't. All the anger I had for him a couple minutes ago was now gone and replaced with excitement to go to the woods.
I was finally going to be able to see what the old woman was talking about. I was pulled out of my thoughts when Rayne's hand stroked my cheek "You're so beautiful Sierra..." He mumbled his eyes scanning me, as in admiring me.
My cheeks flushed and I smiled. How could the Rayne who protects me, holds me while I sleep, strokes my cheek and looks at me with such beautiful eyes... Be dangerous? Be bad? What has he done to have pack members on edge? To be to defensive and violent? I will push it to the side for now but I made it my mission to find out what exactly happened or what exactly did he do.
