Pushing away my curiosity and thoughts I was relieved when I saw my pink suit case on top of my bed “Your brother brought it.” The guard informed before walking away. At the mention of Marshall the smile that was once plastered on my lips faded.
He must be so angry at me for taking Rayne’s side. I didn’t even take his side I just want Marshall to understand I’d like to make my own opinion on Rayne and his past. I grabbed me a pair of cache pants, white panties, white bra, and a white shirt before heading into the bathroom.
I brushed my teeth then got into the shower. I made sure to make it a quick one because I was excited to go to the woods. I brushed my hair and washed up then got out. I wrapped my hair in the towel as I got into my clothes then looked in the mirror.
I put on some eyeliner and blush and nodded as I let my hair out and put some gel in it. After I was done I got into my Nike black shoes then into my black sweater “You ready?” Rayne asked from the door. I looked over at him and saw him in some cargo black pants, a white t shirt and some Jordan’s holding his sweater in his hand.
I nodded and smiled as I followed him downstairs then outside. We took his car instead of walking because it was faster and the whole time I swear I was jumping in my seat “You’re so adorable.” He chuckled and took my hand as he kept the other on the wheel.
I smiled to myself as I looked down at our hands. Tingles ran up my arm and my stomach was doing flips “I’m glad you’re excited. After the woods we can go into the city and eat?” He suggested and I nodded my eyes widening as he turned off the dirt road and into the grass.
I squeezed his hand and he chuckled when he parked and I got out of the car quickly looking at the entrance “Wait for me.” He mumbled as he got out the car and came to my side. He took my hand and guided me through the entrance. I looked around and took it all in…The chirping of birds, the unique noises the fox made (what does the fox say?), I looked up and my heart sore at the sight of the sun rays piercing through the heavy cloak of leaves and branches that branched out from the trees mighty trunks that blocked out the sky.
I looked around and it did look magical “There’s a river not too far.” Rayne spoke up and I turned to him to see him smiling at me. I nodded eagerly and took his hand allowing him to guide me. I kept on admiring the scenery until we suddenly stopped and I finally looked in front of me to see it… The most beautiful sight I have ever seen. A river, it flowed peacefully and calmly barely making a sound but the splashing sound of the water hitting a couple stray rocks that laid in randomly in its path.
It was as though Mother Nature took away the trees from this area so the sun could hit this beautiful river and allow it to sparkle and allow flowers to grow around it “Isn’t it beautiful?” Rayne asked causing me to look over at him. He was standing at the edge of it his eyes closed, his hands in his pockets as he took a whiff of the air. He seemed to relaxed and calm here.
For the first time I felt as though I could see directly through Rayne. That big defensive wall of his had crumbled down and even if it was for a couple minutes it was nice seeing this peaceful side of him.
