LOSING

(THIRD PERSON'S POV)

Alalang-alala si Bastien na tumakbo pauwi. Camari told him that Caroline is turning cold and shaking.

While starting he look again at Aymaline's house and felt sorry.

'Iniwan ko na naman siya' Isip isip niya.

On the other hand Camari is shaking while looking at her children shaking agad siyang tumakbo papalabas. At dumiretso sa pinakamalapit na hospital.

Samantala ulit dumating naman sa bahay si Huxley. He want to surprise Aymaline and propose to her that moment kaya nagpaalam siya na hindi uuwi for her to be surprise.

He was all smiles when he notice that the house is so silent that he can't hear no one. Sa pag-aalala na baka may nangyaring masama kay Aymaline he immidiately left everything he have on hand and go upstairs.

There he saw no one in every room pati na rin sa ibaba when he suddenly remember the garden while on his way holding a bouquet of flowers and the box with the ring he smiles and relax his self.

Hanggang makarating siya sa may garden he immidiately go to the favorite place of Aymaline sa dulong bahagi kung saan nandoon ang swing.

His smile fade as soon as he saw a girl whose face is covered lying on the grass bleeding. Agad siyang tumakbo dito and saw how Aymaline turn paler than the usual. Kinapa niya ang pulso nito na unti-unting humihina.

He immediately lift her up and run to his car. He started to panic and his hand started shaking. He keeps looking at her in the mirror but Aymaline still doesn't wake up.

Pagdating sa hospital agad siyang nagpatawag ng doktor and since their family owns the hospital all the doctors left their job.

"What is happening?" Tanong ng doktora na tumitingin kay Caroline at Celine. Hawak-hawak ni Bastien and maliliit na kamay ni Caroline at hawak naman ni Camari ang kamay ni Celine.

"Kailangan po kayo doc!" Nagpapanic na ani ng nurse takang-taka man umalis agad ang doktor.

Bastien thank god that her daughter just experience cold and fever na sanhi ng seizure nito. He look at Camari with so much anger on his eyes.

"You should take care of her paano kung out of reach ako?!" Sigaw nito and Camari started weeping nakaramdam naman ng awa si Bastien and pull Camari closer and hug her.

As he hug her they heard chaos going on outside. Out of curiousity he look at outside. He saw doctors panic everywhere. Nakinig siya sa chismisan ng katabi nilang bed dahil kurtina lang naman ang humaharang sakanila.

"Ay bakit ganoon kawawa naman" ani ng ginang sa kabilang kwarto sinulyapan naman ni Bastien ang natutulog ng si Camari.

"Ang daming dugo grabe at dinig ko yung asawa ang anak ng may ari nitong IKER'S HOSPITAL" nanlaki ang mata niya sa narinig.

He keeps thinking it is impossible that Huxley own the hospital and erase the thought that it may be Aymaline.

"Aynaline ba o Aymaline ang pangalan noong pasyente" nagulat siya at agad tumayo waking up Camari.

Camari saw him standing up and hold onto his hand. Pleading was written on her eyes.

"I just wanna check on something" paalam ni Bastien sweating and feeling anxious.

"Sama ako" wala na siyang nagawa ng sumama si Camari sakanya.

Paglabas niya nagtanong tanong siya sa mga tao doon. Lahat sila itinuro ang delivery room. Kinabahan siya pero naisip niya maaring manganak na agad si Aymaline.

"Why are we here?" Takang takang ani Camari. And then there they saw Huxley on the chairs of waiting room nakayuko and blood is all over his shirt.

"What happen?" Bastien can't help but ask. Nag-angat naman ng tingin si Huxley crying pain and worry is written all over his face.

Nagulat si Bastien when Huxley punch his face. Naalala ni Huxley ang sinabi ni Manang noong tawagan niya ito kani-kanina lang.

"Aba'y umalis kami dahil kay Bastien sinabi niya sa akin na siya na ang bahala kay Aymaline eh. Ano bang problema hijo?"

Ibig sabihin Bastien was the one who is with Aymaline before he got home. Naalala niya na wala siyang nakitang wheelchair ni Aymaline sa paligid ng garden na ibig sabihin someone lifted or help Aymaline.

"Gago ka!" sigaw ni Huxley ang pumuno sa hallway ng hospital. Pinigilan naman ni Camari si Huxley.

"What are you doing Huxley walang ginawang masama sayo si Bastien!" hindi napigilan ni Camari na sumabat at iharang ang sarili kay Bastien.

Galit at nakakuyom ang kamao ni Huxley pulang pula ito sa galit na tinuro ang delivery room.

"Nakikita niyo yan?! T*ng*n*! Nandyan lang naman yung babaeng balak kong sorpresahin para itanong kung papayag siyang ikasal sa akin pero ako ang nasurpresa ng makita ko siyang naghihingalo kasama ng anak niya sa garden namin" at napaluhod ang binata takang taka si Camari pero shocked was written on Bastien's face.

Hindi siya makapaniwala he needs confirmation. Agad niyang hinila sa kwelyo si Huxley at itinayo.

"Who is in there?!" Hindi sumagot si Huxley at patuloy sa pagpunas ng luha habang nakakuyom ang kamao.

"Answer me?!" Sigaw nito but Huxley just keep on crying until the doctors come out.

"Mr. Huxley?" pagtawag nito humahangos namang lumapit si Huxley sa doctor.

"'I'm really sorry we did our best but we lose" nagulat si Huxley sa narinig at napaluhod sa harap ng mga doctor.

Lumapit naman din si Bastien sa doctor. Tinitigan niya ito at napasulyap sa salamin ng delivery room doon nakita niya si Aymaline confirming his question.

'What happen?' is what his mind asked agad siyang tumingin sa doktor.

"We lose the baby. Aymaline lost to much blood and her heart fail to support the baby. To much stress must be the reason but she deliver the baby fully formed but without heartbeat. I'm sorry sinabi na namin sayo Mr. Huxley that Aymaline having Heart disease can affect the baby and it really happen." Nagulat siya sa narinig.

'Heart disease? Akala ko asthma' takang taka si Bastien he is speechless.

"Aymaline also still sleeping anytime now she will be awake." Balita ng doktor nakahinga kahit papaano ng maluwag si Bastien at Huxley but their hearts felt heavy.

They both know that knowing Aymaline and how she loved the baby it really can make Aymaline mad and upset na ayaw sana nilang mangyari.
