Chapter 34~Bloodrose's Story

We are almost there and I'm so glad that we're almost done with this trip I'm tired of hearing Ivan and Royal complain about having to sleep on the couch or Bloodrose high on caffeine or Nightmare always awake drawing and Killswitch snoring very loudly and don't get me started on Ivan and Ace believe me you don't want to know. I looked at the window gazing at the landscape but then Ivan sat next to me and he said.

"Are you nervous?"

"Probably not as nervous as you," I said calmly.

He started fidgeting with his hands.

"I am nervous I haven't seen my brother in years. but you never met him and he's your father."

I sighed.

"I have so many questions... what happened the day I was born...why did he leave....did he kill my mom..".

Ivan looked at me and sighed.

"So many unanswered questions don't worry Veronica we'll get those answers" he smiled and he left.

I kept looking about the window waiting..I have so many questions like what happened to mom, why did he give me away, is he like my adopted parents, what if he is guilty...so many thoughts circled my mind but I came back to reality when I felt Killswitch nudge me that we have arrived at a hotel.

"Wait I thought we were camping," said Bloodrose confused. Ivan laughed.

"you think I'm gonna sleep in a van in the woods?"

"...but we were in that van for two days and you slept in it so like?" said Nightmare annoyed.

"well do you want to sleep in the van?" Ivan said tiredly.

"NO" yelled royal.

We were all tired and irritated with each other to the point we wanted to strangle each other. We went in and got the rooms I shared a room with Bloodrose, Nightmare and Killswitch shared a room and of course, Ivan went with ace and Royal got her room.

As we were unpacking something fell out of Bloodrose suitcase but she didn't notice and she left the room I went over to pick it up for her and it was a photo but two faces were crossed out the other two were boys one old and the other young and there was Bloodrose right in the middle she looked young. This must be her family but why are her parents crossed out then I remember when Nightmare and Bloodrose were fighting Nightmare had said.

"At least my parents didn't disown me". I wondered what happened.

"Ahem".

I whirled around to see Bloodrose standing right behind me and she saw me holding the picture and sighed.

"What happens between your parents if I may ask," I asked curiously.

She looked at the photo for a moment then she sighed again and she sat down on the bed.

"it was a long time ago my parents weren't always easy with me and my older brother...they expected great things from us..."

She stopped for a moment.

"Anyway I left when I was seventeen I was tired of always getting yelled at so I left and my parents weren't happy so they said never contact me again" she sighed.

"so yeah I never talked to them again they probably think I'm either homeless or dead" she laughs

"Little did they know I was making more money than them" she laughs again but this time it turned into sobs I patted her back but she flinched and I immediately took my hand away.

"sorry," she said.

"I'm sorry that happened," I said sadly she looks at me and smiles.

"it's in the past"

"What about the others?".

She looks down then looks at me again.

"that's for them to tell you it's not my place.". And I nodded.

"now finish unpacking we gonna watch a movie and order pizza".

"YAYY," I said loudly and she laughs.

"what time is it?" She asks.

"It's four o'clock. Why?"

She didn't answer but said.

"Alinaaaaaaaa"

Alina walks into the room.

"Mande?".

"It's four o'clock".

"Oh yeah I almost forgot"

She left and got the pill bottle I sighed and left the room to find Nightmare laying on the floor at first I thought she was dead.

"are you dead?" I said curiously.

She muffles something but I couldn't hear what she was saying.

"I've been always dead.. on the inside," she says clearly.

She sighs and gets up.

"I wanna sleeeppppp, but at the same time I don't want to.".

"Then lay down." I said tiredly..

"Eh," Nightmare says.

"Hey V come with me." said Ivan in the doorway.

I followed Ivan to his room and I hear Ace showering.

"How about we go see your father today or would you like to rest?" Ivan asked curiously.

I thought for a moment might as well get it done.

"yes let's do it right now".

"Alright," said Ivan he got up and put on his jacket.

"let's go".

We told the others that we were gonna go grocery shopping and we'll be back soon they said okay and we left. We drove for 10 minutes and we got to a normal looking house never would've expected his house would be normal. We went up to it and knocked on the door and the door opened...
