Chapter 70~pff scared?..no...I'm terrified

It was an awkward silence the whole ride. I decided to ask.

"Dad..why did Antonio call you boss?".

He didn't say anything but shook his head.

"Dad!" I said firmly.

"Veronica look...it's complicated.." he starts to say.

I shook my head and we arrived at the house then I got out and slammed the door.

"Bye Veronica," he says quietly.

But I didn't reply.

"Oh there you are," said Nightmare.

Killswitch came into the room.

"Your sick you need to stay in bed you shouldn't be outside it's cold!!" said Killswitch angrily

I nodded and went up to my room. I opened my door and went on my bed. Great another person I can't trust..I looked up at the celling and thought about it. Then I heard a knock on the door and Nightmares head popped in.

"Hey," I said with a smile.

She smiles back and walks in.

"Are you okay?" She asks.

I nodded.

"Just tired.." I said.

She looked at me with concern.

"Here," she says as she hands me a bottle.

I looked at it.

"It's the medication Darla said you needed to take," she says gently.

I opened the bottle and took one. Then I gave it back to her. She smiles and leaves.

I felt relaxed and then I fell asleep. A few hours later I woke up again and it was nighttime I sighed and got up then I went downstairs to get some food buts that's when I heard yelling. I looked and saw everyone yelling at my dad.

"Since when were you gonna tell us!!" said Nightmare angrily.

"I didn't think it wouldnt matter!!" Dad said as he shook his head.

"It wouldn't matter??? How would that not matter!!" said Bloodrose.

"Veronica was kidnapped by them and they beat her!!" Killswitch said pissed.

Then silence.

"They did what.." said dad quietly.

"They kidnapped her and they beat her," said Royal with her arms crossed.

Then my dad left and the others started talking quietly I couldn't hear what they were saying but after they nodded and went their separate ways. I went back to my room..I wasn't hungry anymore.

After:
After four weeks of therapy, Dr. Lee told me I was able to attend school but I still would have to do therapy. I was excited and nervous since I never been to school so I wondered what it's like. The others planned for me to go to school next week so we had to go to get things ready. Bloodrose took me school supplies shopping and we bought a lot of expensive things. Royal took me clothes shopping since she had a better style and knew the trends. Nightmare helped me pick my classes and Killswitch decided to make my lunches since she said school lunch sucked. They also had a lot of paperwork to do but not for school but so they can adopt me. They had to do the paperwork and I would be officially adopted.

The next week

I got up at six-thirty I don't know why the school had us wake up this early I was really tired and nervous. I started to pace around my room until Royal walked into my room.

"Hey are you okay?" She says concerned.

"Yeah I'm fine just nervous," I said biting on my nails.

"Hey, you gonna ruin the nail polish," Royal said as she placed her hands on her hips.

"Sorry..".

"It's okay cmon let's pick out an outfit," she says as she walks towards my closet.

After about ten minutes of her saying no to every outfit, she finally said yes to one. It was a white crop top that was long sleeved and had a small moon
in the middle with a black skirt and short black boots then Royal curled my hair.

"Here," she says as she gives me a small container.

"It's contact lenses," she says.

"Oh".

It took me a while to put them in but I was able to put them in. Finally I didn't have to wear glasses anymore. She smiles then Nightmare came in.

"You have all your things right?" She says firmly.

I checked my bag and nodded.

"Cmon let's go eat breakfast," said Royal.

I nodded and we went downstairs. Bloodrose was already there but she was getting yelled at by Killswitch.

"THATS NOT HOW YOU MIX IT!!" Killswitch said angrily.

"Well it's mixing right," Bloodrose said with a shrug.

We laugh and sat down. Killswitch put down breakfast but I was nervous to eat.

"Hey your gonna be okay," said Bloodrose.

That felt kinda reassuring so I smiled and eat. Of course, the food was good but then it was time to go.

"Cmon guys time to drop her off," said Nightmare.

We nodded and got up. I grabbed my bag and we got into the car. As we drove there we past by my dad house who was waiting outside. Nightmare rolled down the window.

"Goodluck Hija on your first day of school!" He said with smile.

I smiled back.

"Thanks, dad".

We drove away and got to the school. We entered the parking lot and immediately I felt nervous again. We got to the entrance where a lot of kids were going inside.

"Good luck V!!," said Royal.

"Be amazing!!" said Bloodrose.

"Do your best" said Nightmare.

"You better eat your lunch," said Killswitch.

They gave her a look.

"Oh and make a lot of friends" she added.

I giggled and got out of the car. I watched as the car left the parking lot. I sighed and went towards the entrance and I looked up at the school sign.

I felt my legs wobble but I breathe in and out then walked into the school.
